I was brought up in a very strict catolic home, now that my parents are both dead, and I am older, I find that I was only carrying out there wishes, I find I can relate to god in my own way, without the need to run to the alter rails all of the time, have not been to confessions in over a year, anyone feel like this.

I do believe in the power of prayer, but I can't see/feel that right now, so many other things are distracting me and I can't concentrate and I really am scared to go (female surgery).I am scared of being put under and that I won't wake up. My Surgery is booked for thursday and I can't sleep/eat/concentrate Is this normal?..

I'm a moderately overweight. I'm 68.4kg with tall of 157cm. I have cutoff my food slowly but my weight still increasing with 1kg. I been following the diet for almost a month. Every morning i'm not been able to do execise because rushing to my work place. I burn extra fat by walking to my work place every morning for approximately 15 - 20 min. I still not fully statisfied with my weight. I'm not taking any lunch during lunch hour. My biggest problem is my stomach i'm looking like a pregnant lady but i'm just 20.

An Alaskan senator recently brought up the possibility of censoring satellite radio and television and giving that responsibility to the morons at the FCC. What happened to the rights of Americans to just turn off programing they find offensive. Who's business is it? I understand censoring public airwaves, but to tell me what I can and can't watch and listen to in my own home on my own dime is oppressive. If I don't want my kids to see or hear something, they don't. I call that parenting. But the FCC is not my parents and will not tell me what I can and cannot watch on my own dime. What do you think.

A longish story! (Thanks Shih Tzu Lady) Briefly...I had a verbal aggreement for my rent to be paid by standing order middle of month when got paid. Landlord, even tho' reminded them numerous times of payment date (advance paid up to and including this date) tried to take it beginning of month so incurring bank charges. Plus used valuable time sorting out in person at bank. Notified I wanted reimbursment (half incurred charges). Rent now being paid on time as to original agreement. But now threatening to evict if they don't get reimbursment back! Only half story cos whole thing a farce, ignored verbal, contractual agreements and tenancy regs. Quite annoyed and think I was very good only asking for half incurred charges. Offered 25% so really admitted liability. CAB visit out of question as can't get time off work! Thanks for your time and consideration.

Is it fair for my PREGNANT GF to ask that i should not smoke at all, not drink ( not even once in a while), not play pool withot her or hang out with my male friends without her, not to talk in my mother tounge with my friends in front of her (she does not understand my mother tounge) & if i talk by mistake she gets mad for days, and basically shold not so anything that she can't do now because she is pregnant with my kid.

Exuse my spelling, it's 7am, and those of you who know me, Know I'm an insomniac. Anyway, moving on.

In Christianity, the 'One True God" is ...well, the Judeo-Christian one. Of course you take pride in believing you are aware of the most omnipowerful being in (or outside of) existance. But Christians, fathom this;

Say you were born into a muslim family, raised on muslim beliefes. Would you not then believe Allah was the one true God? In this respect, How, exactly can you be so sure of yourself, KNOWING you would be equally sure of yourself if you had been born into a different religion?
