I smell a rat - there's another question about G6 engine fires on this group now. I have never heard of a G6 burning up, and I'm a dealer.

When I check online there doesn't seem to be, though there is a list of other, older, Pontiac products with this issue. Perhaps the G6 is too new to have this kind of matter reported widely on the web if it is indeed a problem. Check with your insurance carrier to see what they have to say about it.

What a horrible question! All cars have the pontential for fire (heat spark) air and fuel, the three things needed to support combustion. Manufactures don't like the word FIRE! I carry a extinguisher do you?
