Question: I understand that marriage between a member and an apostate is discouraged, and thanks to my last question I understand why, but is dating an apostate also discouraged? Would this cause problems between the member and her family? What if the apostate were open to possible conversion?


Background: I’ve met the most amazing lady. She is intelligent, beautiful, yet humble and very enjoyable to talk to. We have spoken to each other many times, each time a little more in depth. On one occasion she told me that she is Mormon or LDS and asked what my faith is. This stuck in my head because I can sense that she is very religious and I am not. I believe in or at least acknowledge that God exists and that we should all be good to one another and live by a code of moral values. Even though it is obvious that there is strong chemistry between us, I have been reluctant to ask her out. I believe that anyone I date could potentially become a serious relationship and perhaps even lead to marriage, so therefore I am very selective of who I date. She exceeds every criterion I have by a mile! The only area of concern for me is that I wouldn’t want her to jeopardize her relationship with her family or compromise her religious values. I know there are many silly questions asked on this forum, but this isn’t one of them. Thank you in advance to all who give me a thoughtful answer.

We supposedly have the technology to drop a smart bomb down a chimney from 30,000 feet, we can put an unmanned predator in the air in Iraq and have some guy sitting in Colorado use it to wipe out a jeep riding down the road - yet, we are unable to have some device that will detect roadside bombs before they are triggered? We've lost more young troops to the IEDs, and we're still losing them! Sounds like we've made a conscious decision to forego protecting them because it's too expensive. That sucks.

I was raised Christian and was a very active member of the Church. I accepted Christianity as it was pretty much all I knew. As I got older I became skeptical and at times distraught by teachings of the Church, so I went to the Bible for guidance. What the Bible taught me was that Christian theology is an interpretation of the Bible. I am now non-religious. Anyone else have similar experiences?

What is rock and mineral by definition? I'm confused when trying to figure out the Hydrolysis process of chemical weathering. Is it either the rock or mineral in the rock or the rock AND mineral that changes form during hydrolysis weathering?

Example. Orthoclase (mineral in granite) undergoes hydrolysis to form Kaolinite (mineral found in clay).

What changes here and in what mineral or rock form. Does the mineral composition of the 'rock' change into something else thus breaking down the physical body of the rock??

Another example is quartz.
I just need someone who can explain this in a simple way.

This morning my 3 month old kitten fell from our landing upstairs (he likes to weave around the railing and walk on the outer edge). I didn't see him fall, but I heard him fall, and when I came downstairs his nose was bleeding! We immediately rushed him to the vet, and noticed that he was limping and his right paw was hurting him. The vet said that he likely bumped his nose/paw on the way down, and that nothing seemed broken. He said he'd probably be okay in a couple days, but to take him in on Monday if he was still limping.

My question to you guys is how can I help him feel more comfortable? He's asleep under one of our big chairs, and is seeming to want his space (which is understandable). He hasn't eaten anything since the fall either. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can help our baby feel better? Thanks!!!

Also, do you think he's learned not to go near the landing?

that also buy?) Reason I ask is, I have really excelled in my handmade greeting cards/scrapbooks, etc. But the company listed in one of the most respected and known in general is magazine "Crafts Beautiful" (who has great sister companies,such as "Quick & Easy" and "Let's Make Cards")
So the company that is advertising, asking "Do you want to sell your homemade cards that you create?-We've a market for it.....and so on."
Has anyone ever sold there handmade cards, and how did it go. Also any other copanies names which offer same would e great.

Okay i'm so confused to the point i wonder how to put this down...

i'm in a long distance rship. but i sometimes hate my bf cuz he likes to criticise me in a way that rly hurts me. i'm a girl with esteem who wanna feel good abt myself!

but then i meet 2 other great guys at home! i think i like them both! i cant stand my bf. i wanna break up with him but i'm afraid of loneliness n what if these 2 guys cannot replace the security i hv with my bf?

these 2 guys are awesome and i think they both like me. gosh there are so many great guys back at home, what am i doing with my loser bf?

but bottom it all... i'm jz afraid i leave my bf and become vulnerable to loneliness if the guys don't pick me, and what if they pick me and the rship don't last, what if i dont feel secure... that's why i'm so scared to be single and alone.... help! those guys are so interesting!
