Hi all, I have looked around a little bit for a solution to this, but I haven't really found the answer I am looking for. The other day, when I took the lid off my small Betta bowl (abt 1/2 gal) that sits on my desk at work, and poured the food in for the bettas, the male, a bit excited about the food, jumped up, overshot and landed out of the bowl and on my desk. I was able to immediately get him back in the water, but now, 3 days later, he is struggling to get to the bottom of the tiny tank, and gives up and floats back to the top. He occasionally rolls to his side as he floats on the top. I read that this could be a swim bladder rupture. Some people are saying a fish can "live through it and live on"... but I guess I am wondering if it is an incredibly painful, stressful life. I just changed his water and gave him a pea few minutes ago incase it isn't rupture, but would it be better for him if I just ended it for him now. Anyone who knows fish physio would be best! Thanks!
