I notice that people don't always read the entire question before answering the question. The question heading could be the tip of the iceberg, and the details could really make a good point, and get you thinking in ways you never thought you could. And, it's not enough to just give a quick answer and collect your two points. If people just read the question, they would could possibly get ten points, if only they just typed "who is John Galt" at the end of their question. Our attention span must have really gone down through the centuries. Blame it on TV, Video Games, and "Your meal in thirty seconds or less or it's free" style drive-thru's. Whoever said, "Patience is a Virtue" would roll over in their grave if they saw the state of things today. Who agrees with me?

Yes...by the way it was John Galt that coined the phrase....Patience is a Virtue. Oh and you left your TV on and the next time you go thru the Wendy's Drive thru...they owe one large fry.

I do partially.
I do find though if the details are more than 4 or 5 sentences long they don't get read. This site is a quick read short and sweet answer set up.

I have NO IDEA what youre talking about, but I will say this. I was playing Mortal Kombat the other day, when I did a fatality, some guy stuck his head out inside of my TV and screamed something like "ooooooopsiee!! or "toooasty!!" It was super weird!

Most people don't read all the details... usually, if a question has WAY too many details (on Polls and Surveys), I just won't answer it.

No when it's unbelievably long, then I don't, but I keep in mind what the person is asking. I don't wanna be pointless and answer something completely different than the question :)

Attention span has a lot to do with it best to keep questions and answers short huh

I often just answer the question in bold print, and ignore a whole page of detail.
Questioners should realize this, and not have a full page of explanation.
If you want your questioned answered, keep it concise.

i'm afraid i've been guilty of doing that too. i'll start typing my answer and just when i hit submit, i'll notice that wasn't all of the question so i have to modify and change things.
i agree that today's young people want it now. they don't want to wait for anything.
