1)If you have solid sodium carbonate(Na2CO3) reacting with aqueous HF acid should the overall ionic equation show sodium carbonate as ions since they dissociated in the water of the aqueous HF or should they be an ionic compound since the question says it is solid? Why? Here's what I think it is but I'm not sure.

Molecular Equation
Na2CO3(s)+2HF(aq)===>2NaF+H2O+CO2

Overall ionic equation
2Na(+)+CO3(2-)+2HF===>2Na(+)+2F(-)+H2O+CO2
could someone please elaborate, I'm not sure why or why not sodium carbonate or the sodium fluoride should be written as ions. So if a soluble solid is added to something dissolved in water will it dissociate into ions too.

2)Can something covalent dissociate in water? How do you write the overall ionic equation for SO2+H2O===>H2SO3? Will the SO2 dissociate into ions? Will the H2SO# dissociate into ions??

My 13 year old's good friend and classmate since kindergarten committed suicide 2 days ago.My son is so devastated he hardly talks,and at times just weeps and weeps.I hug him and tell him that I am here whenever he needs to talk.I am at a loss what to do.He just played baseball with this 14 year old friend the day before he hung himself,and he seemed fine,according to my son.That night,the boy's girlfriend broke up with him...and in the wee hours of the following morning,he decided life was not worth living.Please help me--I am at a loss as to how to help my son.Thank you.

1) a new person starts coming to ur activity group weekly
2) he is socially awkward/shy, the group senses he is uncomfortable
3) when he makes conversation, it can be awkward borderline disturbing
4) he lies about things such as his age, etc
5) he disturbs a girl in the group by bringing up topics such as Physically Abusing a Woman being "ok", and saying he knows "girls say one thing, but mean another"
6) he tries to apologize to that person by FOLLOWING them around, even though other people advised him to leave her alone for awhile... and STILL followed her (she avoided him and left)

7) CHANGES his personality, all of a sudden he is talkative and more "outgoing" to the group..

aren't those Strange signs? do you think he is just messing around and wants to apologize, or that he is really WEIRD borderline Scary for changing his personality like this?

I've been fired on the first day of work twice over a misunderstanding. I don't think I can forgive myself because it's very hard for me to find work. Exspeacally work I like. I feel like I want to die because I've passed up so many good oportunities that I'm surprised I had with my kind of back ground. I was a convicted violent offender working with pregnant teenagers, walking dogs for police officers, and different things that seems imposable. Then Either I get upset or there's a misunderingstanding about something said, and I"m fired the first day. Because it's harder for felons to find jobs and these jobs were unbelievable for someone like me to have had, I can't seem to forgive myself. I was in the hospital for trying to commit suicide over the weekend.

I prop am, but just wanted to get this verfied. I hear voices in my head, all generally myself, but I'll argue with the voices, debate for hours etc. I think this is more then just one's sub-voice.

Anyway, my life kinda sucks rght now, I'm under a lot of stress, I have a minor history of panic attacks.

Who is the right people to talk to about this? I'm honestly afraid.

Seriously, a journalist goes into a terroritory that he is not welcomed and becomes a victim of terror. But now he is being made into this martyr. The guy got his name on the holocaust memorial in Miami and of course the himmey powers of Hollywood made a movie. Oweh!
