Is it a type of shorthand or poor education? I'm not being clever or nasty, just curious.

I feel that torture is wrong. totally and completely wrong. I know some people believe that it is right in all cases (its okay if you do, u have just as much chance of getting best answer...unless ur going to give ur answer in a condescending or "im right and UR wrong" kinda way. just be nice about it). Anyway, those people usually say that its matter of national security and whatnot to ensure that every possible threat is taken care off...and that includes torturing a person who MIGHT have the information to a possible attack on whatever country. But, i feel that, you can never really know if the person is the REAL bad guy. because what if he/she is just an innocent person who got caught at the wrong place at a wrong time. Or he/she could have been framed to do such a task....or blackmailed and such. There is NO WAY of trully knowing that the person knows something that is crucial....and personally, that is just TOO MUCH of a chance to take. im out of room.

this place is for questions---reguardless if it's about pregnancy or abortion---why do people get so bent out of shape about the "A" word?? I'm a mother of 3 and I have my 4th on the way, Never had an abortion--it's simply not for me--but i'm sure not going to judge anyone that has had or is going to get one. I understand it's a living being with a heart beat---but everyone has there reasons---what's the deal??? just wondering??

I have some extra money that I'm looking to invest. I already have some money in the stock market and i'm looking to diversify my assets elsewhere. I have about $30k to invest. I dont want to put it in savings because I want to be more risky (hence more reward potential) with it. $30k isnt enough to put into real estate or into a business with a storefront. I work from 9-5ish and dont plan to quit my job. Any ideas?

China is to set up Auto factories on the US/Mex border. So China can sell there autos tarrif free in the US. our congress have been out conned by Mex/China, and we owe so much money to China that we can't do anything about it.Wow! do we have a bunch of fools leading our country. anyone any thoughts on this?

Okay, so...
I've watched it in PowerDVD and taken screenshots during one of the files (out of a few files) but the other ones don't have a camera option. Of course, when I take a screenshot in Windows Media Player, and paste it into paint, it just is the video playing...in paint. Anyways, I have already tried putting the acceleration of the video down, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what I can do? I really would like to take screenshots of the video to show my friend.

We have been married for the past three years and things have been up and down as of late. I recenly over heard her on the phone complaining about not getting the same treatment as when we first got together. I have done the flowers and the chocolate. This is unusual. There's not much violence in my town, but Saturday night, my friend saw a man hit someone in the head with a baseball bat. He jumped in a car with some other guys to follow that man in order to get his license plate number. They got the number and then the man pulled his car over on the side of the road. The car with my friend in it pulled in behind the man. I don't know what they were thinking. Maybe they wanted to be heroes and confront him. As they were arguing, the man stabbed my friend in the neck and chest. He died on the way to the hospital. The guys with him gave the police the license plate number and they got the man in custody. I'm going to the funeral home tonight and I don't really know what to say to his family. It would be easier if his death had not been so sudden and horrific. Should I just remain quiet, or should I say something?

The bite had a black center about the size of two periods,surrounded by a white outer ring and is inflamed and red on the outside. Any ideas as to what kind of bug this might have been and if the fever is related to bite?
