I think its less of a nation and more of extremests and nationalists.
we have some in the US/north america, some in south america, some very powerful ones in the middle east, a couple in europe, same for asia.
I think australia and antartica/other cold lands have too small of populations to hinder world peace.

Iran,because it's leaders believe they are destined to bring about a world wide Islamic State.
They are financing terrorism all over the world and providing weapons.

Because we have a cowboy as president who is trying to cram democracy down everyone's throat.
And just like Ron Paul said, America's foreign policy invited the 9/11 attacks and even the 9/11 commission report said that!

You mean "What country hinders the progress toward world peace the most?
This is hard for me to say, and hard for others to hear.........its the United States.
But on the flip side, because of our tremendous wealth, power and influence, we could easily be the leader toward world peace!
I think some process has begun. First we must open our eyes and see the truth, then demand change in our leaders and ourselves!

China, why because they have almost unlimited manpower for there military. They have a nuclear arsenal, and a decent Navy and they all are in lockstep together. If for instance they attacked the U,S, with everything they had conventionally we could not stop them, there casualties would be high like ours except one big difference they have 600,000 trained people, we don't even have that many Americans in our country.

For 'world peace' to be 'threatened' it would have to actually exist. There's been a war going on somewhere for all of modern history.
I don't think that any country poses a signficant threat to the status quo of global strife, though.
