I want to try and be nicer. I am a Christian. They are just so mean and condemning. It pushes me away from my own faith. I just don't understand it. Why is Christianity filled with so much hate? To be a Christian does not mean you have to live by the Bible and do all it says and do what other Christians say you should do. I am at such a loss with the terrible judgemental ones. I want to say NO be nice to them, but yet part of me wants to be as mean as possible. I guess I need to be the bigger person. They obviously can't. Even though I am pretty the Bible tells them to be. They pick and choose what they do and don't believe so it doesn't really matter.

Many of us try. Unfoturnately, all too often it seems like you are trying to reason with a parrot who can say big words but has no idea what they mean. I really wonder if the Angular Momentum dude will even bother to read through the answers any more than the Second Law of Thermodynamics crowd bothers to read through theirs.
If it makes you feel better, I'll try and refer to the christian myth as an angelic tale rather than a fairy tale.

No...I will refrain from shouting "HERETIC!" at passing Christians, (none of them follow or even UNDERSTAND their own laws,) and demanding that they become Existentialists, or forever burn in Arizona...I won't tell the elderly that "there's no heaven, they've been lying to you for 77 years," because there's no point beyond malice...
However, if someone is posting a question (questioning denotes a desire for enlightenment, and permits me to speak the facts as I see them without fear of offending anyone's sensibilities,) on this site then I feel that it is my RESPONSIBILITY to try and convince them of the fact that Christianity has had its day in the sun and is now doing nothing but paving the way to the UTTER AND COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE HUMAN RACE!
Christianity has been the banner raised to justify torture, murder, war, oppression and the propagation of ignorance...
Christians are perfectly happy to "leave it in God's hands," and wait for the Apocalypse...Well, some of us would rather AVOID OUR OWN EXTINCTION and start taking responsibility for our lives...You could understand why if you'd look around and see WHAT A BANG UP JOB GOD'S DOING WITH THE WORLD TODAY...Good ol' God, watching over us, telling us how much he loves us and needs our money...Handing out debilitating birth defects on the one hand, and demanding the deaths of perfectly healthy abortion doctors on the other...
Christians ARE PARASITES...I don't care what anyone says, Christianity is A DISEASE of the mind and the only cure is KNOWLEDGE...
All you have to do to cure a Christian is make him ACTUALLY READ AND UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE...Theologans don't count, after all, they're getting paid...

I am a believer and not only should we be nice to Christians, but we all should be kind to everyone even if they don't have a belief. If one chooses to answer someones question who's question is intolerable, then that's their choice to do so. We are all here to understand each other, but people should not ask questions if they think they already know the answer. Ask questions with politeness and treat others how you would want to be treated. Everyone has different questions and answers in Yahoo, just be nice about stating your opinions or answers.
It would be so much better that way! My opinion though.

It can often be hard to tell whether a user is a Christian who has heard an argument and wants to honestly see the non-Christian opinion, and when you have an arrogant fundie who thinks that an argument that has been refuted by people multiple times can just stop the "evil heathens" cold, and will condem us, then completely ignore whatever we say, but I agree that unless you know that the latter is the case, it's best to be polite to them.

Yes, I think "we" are. I assume "we" are people who do not like the new breed of Christian that loves to tell us how the world will end very soon and it would be AOK for Israel to drop an atomic bomb on palestine.
So, if that is "we" I think perhaps we could try a little genuine love. When they say to us "you need to be saved" we might answer, "Perhaps you are right. But why did you say that to me? Did I do something terrible in my past life?"
Get them thinking. These are not stupid people. In fact many of them are doctors and lawyers and just plain smart people. Somehow they became mesmerized by the teaching of men and fell away from the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Let's try to be sociable. I know it is difficult. Sometimes I just want to get a 2x4 and whack people, but that is not the answer.
Think Gandhi and Jesus.

Did ya ever hear the story of the three blind men and the Elephant? Amusing isn't it their own ideas were truth to them.
It amazes me that many believe science has all the answers when science itself admits it's knowledge is limited. Can any scientist explain what caused the big bang? Man's knowledge is limited. All scientific fact can do only takes us to the point of a greater question. Those who love the truth know that it is beyond man's finite understanding and through faith God reveals his truth.

I think we're being just as hard on them as we ought to be. The question you posed as an example is an oddity and you know it as well as I do. Most god-believer questions are about the details of bible scripture and which church to join if "blah blah blah."
I haven't seen an alarming amout of unfairness directed in response to god-believer questions when the questions posted for believers are of substance, and although there are a great deal of tongue- in-cheek questions being fired at the believers, some rather crude and others merely annoying, the perponderence of non-believer questions are intellectual in nature and appear to be asked for the obvious purpose of evoking some degree of honesty and reason from Muslims, Jews, Christians and others who are to often so entrenched in their particular fantasy-belief that they seldom respond in kind.
I say, keep on keepin' on...

It is all about Good vs Evil my Dear. We Christians already understand how you non believers are doomed. We do pity you. The reason we preach, we would love for you devil worshipers to see the truth and that God is the only way to live and die. You sound like a very intelligent heartless person. Do not worry God loves you too.
God forgives stupid people
Peace out!
