Dale Jr. hands down!!!!! Some have the idea that he has everything he does because of his Dad, which is NOT true. Dale Sr. made him work for everything he got. In case some Gordon fans have forgotten or dont know Dale Sr. was his mentor and taught Jeff what he knows now. Jeff is or has been a big whine bag, he has the mouth of a peter puffer and I would love to buy him for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth!!!!!!!

To Dalefanregardless, you say Dale because he is ambassador to the sport & claim Jeff whines if thing don't go his way, well he may compalin at times as so do many others, K. Busch & Tony Stewart but to say Dale Jr is better, that is like comparing salibury steak to filet mignon. When will Jr win a race, championship? Are you still gonna root for him when he drives for the best team in NASCAR, Hendricks & does that mean he will start winning. I really don't think just because he is going to HMS he is all of a sudden gonna win, I mean he didn't win many with DEI. Don't get me wrong I do respect him as a driver but he is nowhwere near the driver Jeff is. Jeff may not be a popular as Jr but we all know, so far being popular hasn't help him win any championships or races.

This question is personal preference for mast fans. But i think that gordon is a better driver. Dale Jr. may have been born into racing and it maybe all he knows, but gordon has won 4 series titles and has had driver training from the best in the series(the late Dale Sr.) and he has also been in alot more racing as a kid then Dale Jr.

Jeff Gordon, why is a simple matter of the numbers. Gordon has far more victories and championships that I feel that Jr. will ever have.

Jeff Gordon is up to this point the better driver. But he has also had the Hendrick machine behind him for his whole career. Maybe if Jr. had the equipment that Jeff has had over his career he might have a championship or two by now. But he does not , and Jeff has over 4 times as many wins as he does. Jr. will never has as many wins or championships as Jeff, and this is the main reason that all of junior nation hates him.

I think a couple of years ago I would have said "JR." but now after him deciding to go race for hendrick, that has totally disappointed me to the point that I really don't care to see him a champion, but maybe I'll change my mind if I see him doing well and not being a typical hendrick driver.

ok i noticed some one said dale has racing is in his blood.
well news flash thats what everyone said about kyle petty.see what hes doing now, opps my bad hes not racing much so we cant. but to the ??jeff gordon because hes earned his way to the top and not gave the name to the top.besides that hes passonate about the sport on and off the track.thats another reason dale wants to race for HMS its to make his own name in the sport and to get that passion back he lost after SR died.

You can't compare the two. I like Junior but he isn't even in the same city as Jeff Gordon when it comes to comparrison.
Statistically Gordon has shattered over half of NASCAR's records. He is 5th on the all time wins list. 4 Championships. Inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and he is still driving. Gordon is a Legend whose name is amoung a very elite group of Drivers.
Dale Jr. he is a great guy and the most popular Driver to have not won a Championship yet. He's charasmatic and knows how to make his popularity work for him.

this is one of the most absurd questions ever! it is a disgrace to even consider comparing Dale Jr to Jeff Gordon. Gordon has won 78 races to Dale Jr's 17. Gordon has won 4 championships, Dale Jr has none. Gordon has won 4 races this year, Dale Jr. has none. have you looked at the standings lately, Gordon is 1st in points and 701 points ahead of Dale Jr. in 12th!
NO COMPARISON JEFF GORDON!
