The bite had a black center about the size of two periods,surrounded by a white outer ring and is inflamed and red on the outside. Any ideas as to what kind of bug this might have been and if the fever is related to bite?

you need to take your son to the er immediately. sounds like he has been bitten by a brown recluse, probably the most poisonous spider in the us. the skin will start breaking down fairly immediately. he needs to be checked out. get in your car and go. this poison ravages the body, you can lose limbs, organs and can eventually lead to death. let me know.

Hun,instead of sitting around and waiting for answers on here,why not do what a good parent would do and take him to the Dr. ? All anyone on here can do without seeing it is offer their opinion.
