Yes, it will be a little uncomfortable. Try to hold your arm still and don't tense up your muscle. That will help the discomfort. It may feel a little sore for a couple days after, but you should hardly notice it. Try not to be frightened, this is a very important immunization.

I had a tetanus booster shot last year and yes, the shot DOES hurt very much - it hurts to move the arm that you get the shot in for a little bit over a week and your reflexes in that hand are slightly slowed, but those are things that go away after a week or so.

You have nothing to worry about. Of course there is a small amount of pain, but nothing to bad. I believe for the most part you will get a pinch and a little burn, then it will be hot to the touch and a little sore for a day or two.
My kids hate getting shots, and what they do is watch, until right before the nurse gives the shot, they hold their breath with their cheeks all puffed out and squint their eyes really tight. It gets them through it every time!
Good Luck

i give tetanus shots...and they hurt. It is not uncommon for people to feel like they got punched in the arm, later that day or the next. Its not excruciating, but it does hurt

i have a phobia of shots. but the actual shot doesn't hurt. like any shot, it will be sore and swollen for the rest of the day. just relax and get it in the arm you write with. this will help the injection spot be exercised and it won't hurt for as long. good luck!!!!!!!

it hurts only for a second or two. the needle is a bigger needle because it has to go into the muscle. take aspirin or Tylenol before you go and before you go to bed. your arm may be a little sore the next day but it is worth getting ti be safe.
