I can't recall -ever- seeing an argument in favour of Christianity that would appeal to an intelligent 21st century human.

Not one argument that would convince an intelligent person that there has to be a supernatural being who controls the fate of humanity.

The argument always seems to fit the following paradigm:

"I believe in it and you should too."

That's it. That's the sum of their rationale.

Given how notorious humans are for talking themselves into believing things (one need only look at all the religions of the world to see how true this is), what intelligent 21st century individual is going to say "ok"?

I want to write a story or a novel with a organised crime but I am not sure where to start or how to start it as I have found there are very few of similar style to that of mine. I have always loved writing and I do not think I am that. Until now I have never had a problem writing about most subjects but I do not know where to begin. I have been with my wife for 13 years, she was my sweet sixteen. I like her very much but feel confused at a recent discovery. We have had several intimate moments over the course of our marriage (every night if i do the dishes) but i spoted in the last few weeks that everytime we get jiggy our dog Herbie is in the room with us. When i confronted my wife she admitted to not feeling comfortable in bed without having the dog in the room. She also told me she couldn't have an "orgasm" (whatever that means, god somettimes i think understanding women is a different language all together) unless the dog was watching. I love my wife very much and don't want to ruin our relationship by telling her how i feel. What should i do?

I like to ask questions meant to be speculative, yet scientific...that have, as yet, no simple clear answer. My goal is to stimulate and take part in thoughtful exchange of ideas. The frontier interests me far more than the settled territory.
