I like to ask questions meant to be speculative, yet scientific...that have, as yet, no simple clear answer. My goal is to stimulate and take part in thoughtful exchange of ideas. The frontier interests me far more than the settled territory.

But all I usually get is "wikipedia" type stock answers. Boring!

Is there someplace I can go to get what I'm looking for?

I'd look for forums.
Not sure how to search for them - maybe just type in the subject and then" forums." So, something like "cancer forums" or "intelligent design forums."
Or, you could clarify your questions: "Hypothetical question: . . ."

Apologies that you're not being stimulated enough. That means you're too smart to be here. You could also try to pick up some books on whatever subjects interest you.

Good luck!

Write your question to clearly state the kind of answer you want. Note the answers you don't want. You could try the Mensa forums or local Mensa gatherings. Most such gatherings welcome guests. At least make contact with them and ask them. See if a local library or university sponsors seminars or discussions.
