Firstly, I'm sorry if I'm offending any women out there but this is something sure I'm not wrong about. If you think I am wrong I am happy to hear what you've got to say about it.

I'm 39 years old so I've been around a while now and I'm sure a lot of women I've come across seem to enjoy getting men in an aggrovated state. This is not just from my experience of ex girlfriends but also of female relatives and work colleagues and social occasions.

Does it give you a sense of power to influence men's emotions? Do some women find it entertaining or even erotic to see a man get fiesty? Is it that a good arguement clears the air? Is it something I'm doing? Am I talking rubbish?

Please help me with this one girls

Whilst at the spa today, I was wondering if it was more environment friendly to use paper towels or normal, cotton ones.
Don't you have to take into account how much water is used to wash the normal ones and how dangerous the detergent is, as well as how much water is used and if there is waste by producing the paper towels?
Also, isn't more wood used to make paper towels, and don't you use less normal towels in comparison to paper ones for the same drying effect?

Taking all this into account, which ones should I use?

I was given a used laptop (IBM Thinkpad Model T42), and it's about 2 years old. It's also pretty virus full I think. My friend does not have a CD to reinstall Windows XP either, who said it was preinstalled. I don't want to have to purchase a CD, as the laptop has been heavily used and there is no promise that it will last long. Several AV scans hasn't helped at all. Any suggestions on what to do? Can I still reinstall or restore XP? Or am I going to have to go with something like Ubuntu? If so, how do I overwrite XP? Sorry if these are too many questions, but I have no idea what to do. Please speak to me like I'm a child because I'm not all that tech savvy.

We've recently refinanced and although we've added escrow, taxes etc. into the loan, it still seems a bit high.

Should we fix it up and sell it for $110K-(appraised at 105 before all the work was done) and build new or stay and deal with the high payment?

It's an old house with charicter but too many things could go wrong in the future / plumbing etc.

I re-did my garage recently and made it into a dining room. I was a complete novice and some things aren't exactly "perfect." One of the things is that there is one part of the wall where I didn't have a stud located behind a joint between two pieces of drywall. In my haste to get it complete, I simply thought that the tape would make up for it. (Dumb, I know.) Now, the wall is cracked down that side, and I need to fix it. Is there anything I can do besides tear out that piece of drywall and place a stud there in the wall? I really don't want to do that.

How exactly do people manage to move to bigger and better houses ?
I bought my house 15 years ago and have 10 years remaining on the mortgage.
There is a lot of equity in the house (is now worth about 4 times what I paid for it) but when I asked a mortgage adviser, she said because I am currently not working (although my partner who hasn't lived here as long as I have is), there is nothing I can do to improve my circumstances.
However, I know of many people who seem to be able to move upwards, even though their income stays pretty much the same.
Surely, all the equity I have stands for something ?

I have a D-link modem, router, and usb wireless adapter hooked up to a cable modem. My computer is on the second floor and the router is in the basement. i get about a 50% signal strength and 100% signal quality. When downloading form limewire or bittorent, even when i limit the bandwidth used for downloading, my signal strenth will disappear, but the quailty stays at 100%, but the internet is not accessable. I have to restar the whole computer. Will installing a higher gain antenna on the router work? or should i install a PCI card with a higher gain antenna instead? I am the only computer using this wireless network.
