I have lost a total of 16 pounds so far, and I've been doing this lifestyle change for about two months now, actually two months on wednesday!

Would I be able to lose 24 pounds by September (when school starts) or is that an unreasonable number? Also, I have combined healthy eating and thirty minutes of daily excercise. =D

A woman is just getting out of the shower when the doorbell rings. Her husband, heading to the shower himself, asks her to see who's at the door, so she wraps herself up in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands her next-door neighbor, Rob. Before she can say a word, Rob says, "I'll give you $500 to drop that towel you have on."

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel. He looks for a few seconds, hands her $500, and leaves with a big smile on his face.

Excited about her earnings, the woman puts the towel back on and runs upstairs. Her husband yells out from the shower, "Who was that?" "It was Rob from next door," she replies.

"Great," the husband says. "Did he say anything about the $500 dollars he owes me?"

I'm noticing that the older I get, the more honest I am. I feel that if someone asks me a question, they want an honest answer. I'm kinda enjoying this because I'm being true to myself and those around me. I would (obviously) never intentionally hurt anyone but as my daughter says, "Don't ask mom unless you want the truth". Getting older definately has its drawbacks but it's not as bad as I feared it would be!

I received a notice in the mail today from the bank, telling me that I will be charged a $5 per month inactive fee on a savings account I haven't used since I was 11. My questions are, since it was a joint account (because I was a minor when it was opened), will I need the other person's consent and/or signature to withdraw the money from it?

Also, if I withdraw all of the money from it, will that close said account?

make back seats to raise up to the height level requirments? I wonder what excuse state lawmakers will use if someone had their back seat taken out and lifted. Washington state law is 8 years old or 4' 9" and child must be over 13 to ride in front seat. Most back seats only have 3 seat belts which makes it impossible for my neighbor to pick up his 5 kids from school at the same time. Yet it is ok for a kid to ride in a truck bed. Makes me wonder if lawmakers are concerned about safety or more ways to increase revenue. Some people believe the "underdeveloped stomach muscle" excuse they are using. I don't. I was was in a serious car accident when I was a kid and the seat belt did not do any damage to my stomach musles. Neither did getting kicked in the stomach by a horse or hanging upside down in a ferris wheel with the belt digging into my stomach for 20 minutes until they fixed it. Hogwash to the lawmakers....

I'd like to know that if belief in several contradictory irrational concepts is required of a member of a religious group, is this faith therefore built on self-deception?

And if this is the case, does faith rely on an ignorance of multiple perspectives, an ignorance of uncomfortable logical pathways that exist.

I see that many choose to ignore to entertain the thought, but is this not in direct contradiction to carrying a truth seeking mind?

Is comfort the highest ideal of many? And by comfort I mean persisting in a worldview that encourages ignorance, by setting up assumptions that the search for all else outside the claims of a particular religion is futile.

If it is termed as futile, then people will persist in not investigating ideas from different perspectives and will use the rules of a religion as the critera for accepting or refusing to accept the logic that may exist outside it.

This is nothing more than an ignorant denial rather than a coherent knowledge inclusive search for the truth.

Smith has a number of children.
Brown has a smaller number of children.
Green has an even smaller number of children.
Black has the smallest number of children.
The total number of children is less than 18.
The product of the numbers of children is 120, the same as the
house number of Mr. Smith's House.
I asked Mr. Smith, "Is there more than 1 child in the Black family?"
When he answered, since I knew the house number, I also knew
the number of children in each family.

How many children in each family?
