I have lost a total of 16 pounds so far, and I've been doing this lifestyle change for about two months now, actually two months on wednesday!

Would I be able to lose 24 pounds by September (when school starts) or is that an unreasonable number? Also, I have combined healthy eating and thirty minutes of daily excercise. =D

if you do a little more cardio then you could try to - it all depends on how much you have to lose
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

If you are really consistent, and stick with it, you could lose that much. You will have to increase the distance or amount of calorie burning in your workout as time goes by in order to keep losing pounds at the same rate. Make sure you eat enough calories to keep your metabolism and muscle mass from going down. I have lost that much in a 3 month period, so I can tell you it's possible. 30 minutes of exercise per day is not really very much though. Shoot for 1 hour or 2 hours if possible.

Yes you can . Eat healthy,no sweets no pop and drink lots
of liquids. Also a low packed exercise thirty min. aday
like you are doing and don't eat after 5:00p.m. If you do let
it be something like crackers. Low sodium is better. If not
24lbs you'll be close. Congradulations on your first 16lbs. Good job and keep up the good work.

if you keep up exactly what your doing i think you definitly could. i mean i hear the first two months are the easiest but i believe in you. if you lost 16 in 2 months, then by september you will probably lose around 30lbs@!!!
