Yeah, I was disappointed. You can't leave the ending up to interpretation. This was the show that everyone was anticipating. To not show us Tony's fate, is insulting to the viewers. The greatest show ever, probably had the worst ending ever.

Who wasn't disappointed? David Chase says there will be no motion picture ending, but I think they left the door wide open for a return of the Soprano gang. Loved watching Phil Leotardo get it, though.

No, I sorta thought they were gonna just let it be that Tony lived. I did like how it looked like that one guy was gonna go to the bathroom, it made you think of that scene in The Godfather, when he goes into the bathroom to get the gun. I am looking forward to the DVD so I can see the alternate endings.

"Jimmy we've been hosed". This ending will be seen as the worst in history. The writers have no choice but, make a mini series, movie, or explain at a press conference. Its just that serious. I dont feel Sopranos is totaly thru right now....let the critisim marinate....we'll get whats owed *lol*

It catches us all off-guard because the show just cuts to black, but after another viewing and review of the credits, we get to figure the restaurant was staked with shooters, one being Phil's nephew who goes to the bathroom and probably comes out blasting on the cue of Meadow entering the front door. Since Chase likes to view certain events from Tony's perspective, we get his "fade to black" after he's "hit". I need closure, so this is my take on what happened.

The laast episode [at least in the diner] was a dream of tony's then he died in bed from the episode before it that it was an extention from. Too long to explain, but the onion rings were placed in all three mouths like last comunion wafers before they died, or before Tony died. It was all from Tony's perspective.

ok listen guys...u gotta wach the end of the episode again and wach closely...here is wat ull c... when tony walks into the diner he looks at himself sitting down at the table...u can be sure of this b/c he is wearing different clothes when he sits down...i dont no wtf that means...
in previous seasons it had been told to us that tony's dad
died just as his daughter (janus) walked in... if u watch closely u will see janus walk in shortly after tony sits down...this is used to
signify the possibility of that happening again...then u will c the sports store owner who tony destroyed walk in wearing a brown kinda hunting jacket... he is the guy that a couple seasons ago got into gambling trouble with tony and tony took over his store...
HE IS THE 1 WHO WACKS TONY...he comes in and sits down hunched over...hiding his eyes as not wanting to be noticed...and alas..."u probly dont even here it when it happens rite?" (this is bobby talking to tony in the 1st episode of the season...tony had this flashback as he was laying down in the last episode... there would be no reason to have had that in unless it had some huge significance)... and finally... tonys daughter walking in to c her dad get shot just as janus did so many years ago... u hear the bell of her walking in and then
blackness... nuthing...
it signifies the neverending cycle of the soprano family...aj will become tony...meadow will become janus...carmela will become livia (tonys mom)...and cycle of violence goes on and on and on....absolutlely amazing...i HATED the ending at first...but when i wached it again...and understood it...it is really the most amazing ending possible for the show...we really would not have been satisfied with the boring u c tony git shot ending... this was priceless...remember..this was not an action show...it was a drama about a FAMILY
and this my friend is what the ending was all about

Yes i think we were truly robbed. i didn't wat anything to be left up to my imagination. i want some concrete answers. it was just wrong. i mean what was up w/that black screen crap.and then credits. it was just wrong. plus we had to wait 37 minutes before phil got shot and his head got crushed. that was the only interesting thing that happened all night. so i say after 9 seasons it was a real letdown.
