I have been taking self-defense classes for a while, and of course, groin kicks are taught a lot. I've heard stories of how they haven't worked, and some how they have.
Some of my guy friends say that they are effective, and others say that they won't work if a guy's attacking me and is adrenalized.
I've asked this on yahoo answers once before, but, does anyone know for sure if they'd be effective? Have you used them (or had them used on you, if you're a guy)? Will they incapacitate a guy right away? Or is there a delay, like some people say?
I've also heard that the eyes and throat are more effective targets, but that would require the arms, and I'd think it'd be better to keep someone at leg's length, if you've managed to create distance. (If not, your arms might be bound.)
