I am a Pakistani national, working in Saudi Arabia for the last 28 years. Never visited U.A.E. before. I have heard that GCE residents can get visitor visa on arrival. I will be travelling to Dubai, Sharjah or Abu-Dhabi by air.

Yes, the expatriates holding any of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) residence visa can travel to the UAE without obtaining a prior visa. They will get the entry visa upon their arrival at the airport. It depends on the category or the current profession mentioned in their residence permit. All professionals like doctors, engineers, accountants and administrative staffs are eligible to avail this facility.

p.s. as per the Saudi labor/immigration regulations most of the administrative positions are reserved only for the locals (Saudis). Even though if you are working in a higher designation may be the profession mentioned in your “Iqama” might be something else. Verify this before planning your departure to UAE.

Yes but it would depend on your profession as mentioned in your residence permit. If you are not having a special skill profession (e.g. lawyer, doctor) then you would need to be a "manager".
