Alot of the cheaper computers you see for sale only have 1 GB of RAM and maybe up to 256 MB of shared memory, yet they come with Vista Home Premium often times. Can you comfortably take advantage of Vista with these sort of specs, or do you really need more ram or a dedicated video card? I know that more is generally better, but would I regret buying a comp with these sort of specs?

Hey,

Just consumed about 150g of fries that might not have been cooked properly (Some were fairly hard, but over cooking does that too so i ate them anyway), but is there likely to be lethal doses of poison there?

"On April 25, a search of a house owned by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick -- and inhabited by Vick's cousin, Davon Boddie -- uncovered drug paraphernalia and 66 dogs in the backyard. A search warrant affidavit said some of the dogs were in individual kennels and about 30 were tethered with "heavy logging-type chains" buried in the ground.

The chains allowed the dogs to get close to each other, but not to have contact, one of myriad findings on the property that suggested a dogfighting operation.

Others included a rape stand, used to hold non-receptive dogs in place for mating; an electric treadmill modified to be used by dogs; a "pry bar" used to open the clamped-down mouths of dogs; and a bloodied piece of carpeting the authorities believe was used in dog fights. Carpeting gives dogs traction in a plywood fighting pit"

Hey all! I'm looking for a new desktop in the $600-800 range and these 3 seem to be the main choices for processors. Alot of the bargain Dells have the Pentium D or Athlon X2 chips and pricier ones seem to use the Core 2 Duo. I know you can't compare clock speeds and stuff like you used to anymore, so what's a good way to compare them? Would I be OK with a pentium D or is that old technology? I'd be running a new computer with Vista and hope to get some years out of it. Also, from alot of what I've read heard, your RAM and video card may play more of a role in your computer's performance than small differences in processor specs.

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am taking Percocet for kidney stones. My job requires random urine drug tests. Will it show up on the drug test? I don't do drugs. Will they believe me if it came back positive that it's percocet for a health reason?
