WHAT IS the ONE THING THAT you WERE TAUGHT as a CHILD?

i'm still a child.....and i have been taught many things and still wish to learn more!!

to be honest, truthful, helpful
respect others...no matter your elder or small....treat everyone equal
and much more.....
learning has no end....we keep learning something 'n' something

As best I can recall after 75 years is that: I was taught to respect my parents. Their word may not have been always the best answer or the infalliable word, but it was to be respected and obeyed. That did not mean that we could not ask question or express our own, but it did mean that in a respectful manner we were to honor and obey our parents.
If there was one thing that would change America today, it would be that. I see in too many young people and children today expressing a total lack of respect for their parents, which leads to disrespect for all elders. It spills over.
