"On April 25, a search of a house owned by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick -- and inhabited by Vick's cousin, Davon Boddie -- uncovered drug paraphernalia and 66 dogs in the backyard. A search warrant affidavit said some of the dogs were in individual kennels and about 30 were tethered with "heavy logging-type chains" buried in the ground.
The chains allowed the dogs to get close to each other, but not to have contact, one of myriad findings on the property that suggested a dogfighting operation.
Others included a rape stand, used to hold non-receptive dogs in place for mating; an electric treadmill modified to be used by dogs; a "pry bar" used to open the clamped-down mouths of dogs; and a bloodied piece of carpeting the authorities believe was used in dog fights. Carpeting gives dogs traction in a plywood fighting pit"
now defend that crap!
Michael Vick is sick...

The NFL has a major problem on it's hands. A PR one. If the face of the NFL makes you think of feeding puppies to other dogs to make other dogs ferocious enough to kill each other, then people will flock away from the NFL. (me included)
There are other good sports options, and even the NBA is cleaning up it's image. Even though TV interviews guys with "teardrop" tattoos on their eyes (meaning they killed people, something Networks should never promote!) the NBA has more fake bad boys than real ones.
The NFL actual has too many bad people. Michael Vick is one of these evil people who shouldn't be representing a family-aimed entertainment business like the NFL! The NFL can either clean up it's act by purging itself of it's cancer, or it will loose popularity. Baseball and Boxing lost popularity for much less in the days when Football seemed clean.

Mike Vick is a scumbag for letting this happen and the involvement he has with this. His cousin and all of his friends doing this are all disgusting as well. I am sure that there a tons of illegal underground operations that happen, but this dog fighting is gross, and the people involved have something wrong with their head.

Both Vick brothers are horrible human beings. It goes to show what kind of society we live in. He isn't the only person with money or fame that has done something so horrible. Both Vick brothers got labeled with "unlimited" talent and both Vick brothers have broken the law in manners that a normal person would have been thrown several books at. It goes to show that if you have the skills these professional sports owners crave, you can get away with anything, from older Vicks facination with dog fighting to younger Vicks having sex with a minor.

A steaming pile of poop that just came out of Rosie O'Donnel's butt = Michael Vick.
I had not heard about any of this until I saw your posting.
Good God Almighty.
Why are so many NFL players doing such atrocious things?

Hmm,
Before you accuse him... think about this. You guys are turning into a mob. If this was 30 years back you would get torches and pitchforks and string him up' in on the gallows. Now IF Michael Vick did it, it is disgusting. However you can't go and blame him when none of you have actually gone and seen it. HTe media does exagerate and even lie for a good story. Plus it could have been one of his relatives that did it. Put it all together and I won't blame or get mad at him untill he is found guilty in court. Get mad at dog fighting itself not some one who hasn't been arrested yet.
Hope this helps and to say I'm against dog fighting,
Hunter

he needs to be tied up and treated the way that he treated those poor dogs. I think any human that gets pleasure out of that kind of stuff is sick and demented and should all be tied up and beat like the useless louses they are. They need to stick his *** and his cousins in jail for possession of drugs and for cruelty to animals. I agree that everyone should boycott the merchandise and the games but only if the coach backs his player and dont do anything about it. Unless the coach was aware that this was going on and allowed him to still play then i would boycott it all.. But if not its not fair to punish a whole team for one mans actions im sure alot of them didnt agree with what he did either. In all honesty i want to see the guys on the other team put a beating on him like he has never had before on the field for what he did now i would actually pay to see them whoop him for that. Hell i would pay the money to rent out the stadium and put him in there and let all the other players treat him like he did those poor animals and i would let you all in free to watch..

I am not about to defend that scum of the earth and I say we should all boycott the falcons games and his merchandise . He made a statement on tv that he would do what he wanted when he wanted and he had the money to do it . Well I say lets put a dent in that wallet . also email the owners of the falcons and tell them you will be boycotting their games and watch how fast they would dump his butt . Michael Who ?

He hasn't been convicted or charged with anything yet and he wasn't even living in the house where this stuff was found. As for boycotting the Falcon games why? You would then have to boycott the Bengals games for sure because they have been convicted of everything known to man including spousal abuse which in my opinion is definitely worse than fighting dogs who by nature are born to fight. Here are a list of other teams that you need to boycott if you are going to boycott the falcons. I have also given the reason for boycotting each team.
1. Bears (Tank Johnson) Aggravated assault, resisting arrest
2. Chargers (Shawn Phillips) Suspicion of obstructing or resisting an officer in the performance of his duty
3. Jaguars (Maurice Jones-Drew) Assault
4. Browns (Reuben Droughns) Domestic assault
5. Packers (Corey Rodgers) Unlawfully carrying a weapon and discharging a firearm
6. Steelers (Santonio Holmes) Domestic violence and assault
7. Ravens (B.J. Sams) DUI (second DUI in 14 months)
8. 49ers (Antonio Bryant) DWI, reckless driving, resisting arrest
I think what you might have meant to say is boycott the NFL not just the Falcons!
