I broke up with my boyfriend yesterday morning. We went out for over a year, but the whole time we only really saw each other at school and very rarely outside of it. We talked online sometimes, and hardly ever on the phone. It felt like it just was time to end things. When he told me he'd be gone all summer, that confirmed it for me. But when I broke up with him, he seemed hurt, and all day today when I saw him he gave me cold, icy stares. I love him terribly, and I don't know what to do. Is it okay to call him and talk things through? Or just wait and talk to him tomorrow at school? Should I try to get back together with him, or just move on? We are both 15, by the way.

I read questions written by the religious and by atheists where the writer hammers and insults someone's (sometimes absurd) beliefs. It may be done in a funny way and I laugh. But often, it's mean-spirited. So I cringe. Yes, I find the views of believers hard to understand and I feel good if they open their eyes to truth. But how does mocking them change minds? It just hardens views and stirs up hatred. I saw Al talking on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SabcvBDtSE0 and he sounds so logical and soft spoken and caring, I wondered why more atheists don't emulate his approach? You may notice the absense of Christian responses to his carefully articulated points. Admittedly, it doesn't hurt that he's awesomely cute and has displaced Vanity Fair's June cover of Bruce Willis as my current fav vision.

I just found out that my Mum's got a something called "Helicobacter". She also told me that she needs to go to hospital to have a stomac operation, and that she will probably have to stay in for 10 days. Any ideas of what she could have? I read on the internet that it is a bacteria, but I did not find any other information about having an operation. Thank you.

My fiance ( I pushed & got the ring- after many fights) and I have been living together for a few years now. We have a son together whom we both love. We have had many arguments over getting married. He keeps saying he wants to get married to me eventually, but always seem to have excuses. I don't want 2 leave him, becuase I do love him and we have a son together. But I also don't want to just live together for the rest of our lives- which I think he would be perfectly comfortable with.I can't just move out either becuase my family is very far away and being a single parent would be ough. I also don't want 2 be in a dead end relationship. I have asked him if he wants to break up, he says no. We have been engaged now for a year and a half. I'm sick of waiting for him to come around. Should I give up on him? I don't want our son to not have a father around.I also can't handle his lack of commitment. He says were already committed! this seems like an obvious answer but it's not. in my teenage years, i had been accused of appearing this way by people who didn't know me well. i am in fact very insecure and reallt do not judge people superficially. sometimes, i feel like every move i make will come off as obnoxious or that i think im great, then it paralyzes me. i could care less if someone is a little edgy as long as they are nice but as an adult, i am still scared of coming off this way. it's gotten so bad, i switch between being mute and meek around people and not, which just seems weird. thoughts?

I was browsing through the Parenting section on Yahoo answers and ran across a simple, kind of stupid, question. It was "what would you do if your kid was gay?".

Of course there were alot or responses and every one of them was positive. Things like "I would love them either way" "It's not their choice they are who they are and I support them 100%".

Then the one Christian chimed up. Ok, I don't KNOW that it was the only Christian but she was the only one that volunteered that information in her post like it was supposed to mean something important. Here is her response


" I don't look at it that way. I think it's a choice, so I would do everything I could to lead them in the right direction. That's why we are Christians involved in our church youth programs and so on.

I could never disown my child but I really don't know what I'd do if once they were grown (21 or older) and chose to live that lifestyle. I pray to God that it doesn't happen!"

I know he's a naturally jealous guy but i dont know why he doesnt trust me.
We havent been going out long but he loves me and i love him.
He said it was for a joke but he made his best friend say he wanted to have sex with me and that he loved me, he made him ask if we could get together behind his back. When i did actually talk to his best friend and explain that i didnt like him in that way, they both fell about laughing.
I dont understand why he's so insecure.

This question is a bit far in advance but anyways, my mom and grandma plan on having a shower for my baby after we find out the sex. The shower will be held at my grandma's house. There is the thing my mom and grandma live three hours from me and i hate driving there alone so my Fiance always goes with. Do you think it would be ok for him to go to the shower? He is the the father after all. Otherwise he will have to sit at my mom's house and watch tv all day or something. He will be the only guy there if he does go. i know he would love to be there to open the presents.

We are replacing our 5 years old tube set TV and were shopping for a new TV yesterday. All the sets are now flat screen HD TVs. The salesman told us that they stopped manufacturing TVs that have the Picture in Picture (PIP) feature a few years ago when the TVs all went to HD TV. Is this true? Maybe its available on high end models, but we are looking at sets that cost around a grand. If you can, maybe you could recomend some brands to buy, and brands to avoid.

Ive always thought that atheists are clever people because they dont blindly follow their parents or anyone else. But my question is if you think there is no God.. how did the universe come into existence( i know well about the big bang theroy and the Quran talks about it as well) but the big bang theory suggests it came out of nowhere basically the collision of dust particles... if your saying that explosion created the universe, then how can anyone believe that.. because explosions are knowns to DESTROY things and not create. And another thing is how can DNA and RNA come into existence at the same time? How did the first ancestor actually come out of.. as the theory suggests life came out of a non living thing (ABIOGENESIS)... how is that logically possible??? Please no stupid answers. I finally decided to take a step and went to a biology class. And I was interested but still skeptical. So I took 5 more classes. And now I understand what you guys are talking about when you say creationism is a bunch of bs. I see it now. Science is not a democratic process and all the arguments that I used to use like....where r the transitional fossils for say...the horse? All of these evidences were there all along. I just had to open my eyes. I would like to thank God that he showed me the true path....and may God, the Holy Spirit bless the rest of the creationist to finally see what the one and only truth.

Now it seems to me that I’m the only one that made the cross over. So are there any Creationists out there like me who made the effort to learn about evolution?
