Because it's amazing that a butt hole can make such strange noises, and so varying in decibel and volume levels!

It's funny because we all do it, but most of us are too embarrassed to admit it. Also, the sound some farts make is too funny! I guess it also depends on the place and people you're with if it's truly funny or just embarrassing. FART ON!

It's funny because people try so hard to act like they don't fart and make sure when they do its as quiet as possible so when you hear one it sounds funny becuase you don''t hear it often. People need to realize everyone farts.

In my opinion, it's not farting that's funny... it's the reaction of the people who pay attention to the farting. I had a terrible situation just the other day in which my son released gas in the restaruant... a very noisy one, and some little girls right behind us started laughing, just as I had whipered to him to be more silent about it. Next thing you know, their entire table was laughing at it, except the mother who I'm guessing was embarassed that her familiy had made a big deal out of it, and my son kept repeating to himself "how embarassing" at which point my husband couldn't keep himself contained and started laughing, trying to hide his face from others seeing he was laughing and as he turned red, as much as I was trying to keep a firm face and whispering to them to stop it, I myself started cracking up, but I was SOOOO embarassed. Everyone had their eyes on our table. I normally wouldn't have laughed, but the 'chain' reaction finally got ahold of me and I just couldn't help it.

Because there is so many ways to do it.....a silent elevator fart is the funniest when there is no escape. Everybody does it...so I can't understand why people get so offended. God invented farts so we could get a good hearty laugh.

It is a personal bodily event that occurs involuntarily and allows anyone in hearing (or smelling) range to know exactly what is going on in a person's body. It is also a personal and intimate event that most people find embarassing. Even though everyone does it.

It's only funny at times. Like when my brother is playing basketball. He'll jump up to shoot a 3 pointer and he rips one when he goes up. I guess he likes the extra boost or something. I promise, that's happened like 3 times!
