My friend was recently in an abusive situation at her BCT unit.
The 1 SGT of the Company had her restrained by 4 female SITs. She tried to go get help, and they sent her to CMHS. The people she talked to there told her to contact the IG, but when she tried she was told that she had to go through her chain of command. Which, she told me will take a long time.

Now she is talking that she wants out of the Army completely. Her left shoulder is messed up from where the girls were pulling at her, but her company will do nothing about it. She told me that if they don't hurry up she is going to go AWOL and fix things herself.

I am trying to find ways to help her from my side, we both know what could happen to her if she goes AWOL. I want to help her so bad because she's losing it 'emotionally' but I'm lost in this stuff. Where do I start? Do I contact a Lawyer? And if she does go AWOL, will the Lawyer still help and perhaps get the AWOL charges cleared?

What is the spiritual argument against it? Not, "What is the scriptural argument against it", please.

Is it because the outcome of a game of chance is random, thus not decided by God? There isn't supposed to be anything beyond God's control.

Is it due to a classification of being an addictive substance, like drugs or alcohol? Could it at least be enjoyed in moderation?

If God wanted me to win a hand against a sinner, would he give me 4 aces, or would he punish me for gambling and make me bust out? And why does the church down the street have Bingo Night? Just wonderin'.

I inhaled some chlorine upon opening a "pool shock" package yesterday. I immediately felt burning in throat, nose, and chest. It was sitting in the sun for a few days so it must have expaneded and "shot up" into my face. I went to the doctor and had a steroid shot. Then I went to the E.R. and had two more steroid shots, and a chest x-ray, and was put on oral steroids for three days. The problem is that I suffer from anxiety attacks so it is hard to tell if I am having shortness of breath because of anxiety or the chlorine. I went to the E.R. for shortness of breath last night and it turned out to be anxiety. I had my lungs listened to today and they were clear. Could I still suffer complications if this happened around 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon. Just looking for some reassurance. Thank you so much.

I know about epilispsy and only 1% of sufferers have photosensitive epiliepsy where watching a flashing picture may induce a seziure. It was reported on the news last night that the logo had caused 34 people to have a seziure.

This is a bit high considering the small number of people it would affect and they would have to have been sitting watching the whole show of the new logo and why wasn't therea warning aired like there is with everything else?

An 80-year-old man went to his doctor for his quarterly check-up.

I just bought a used 1998 Expedition with 132,000 miles. I'm not sure how work has been done, exept the oil change every 5,000 miles. I've heard of a lot of problems with a hose leaking and shorting out the coil. I'm using this as my towing vehicle and camping trip vehicle so it needs to be reliable(Yes, I know it is a Ford). Any thing I should change to keep it reliable? Any ideas with be appreciated. Thanks

I grew up in an average-income family.I have parents and 2 sisters-one older and one younger.
My dad used to hit me with a belt -though he never did that to my sibs.Now sometimes if i did something bad he slaps me,and i never saw him do that to my little sister.
yes,he yells at my sisters when they are naughty but he never hit them.
There are times when my mom hurts my feelings.She scolds me if i curse but she lets my big sis go if she says bad words.
My little sis is spoiled by both my parents.
By the way my parents say that they love me but i don't think they do and if they do they probably love my sisters more than me.

I have been diagnosed with depression. My marriage is under stress. I don't feel happy with my marriage, and I feel as though it may have something to do with my depression. I just don't know. We have nothing in common and don't have a good bond at all. He is a great guy, but I just don't feel that connected to him. My depression is taking its toll on me and it is a struggle to stay alive some days. Lucky for my 6yr old son. He is my reason to keep going somedays. Do you think that a poor bond with my husband is making me depressed. We are off to round two of marriage counselling and I just don't think its gonna work. We just don't talk, and I am a huge talker. I live in a remote town and am quite lonely. I don't have a great friendship with hubby so I feel even more alone. He insists everything is fine. I just feel so lost. We just went away for the w/end and hardly spoke, he just can't keep a conversation going and I find it very boring. I wonder if my depression is from trying to

I feel like he will never want to be close. I don't expect alot. The most hurtful thing he said once was that he didn't think he could get the same level of enjoyment from a relationship as he does from video games, or other hobbies. So, most of the time I feel like I'm last on his list. I hate it! I feel like he's so immature, I don't know how to help the situation. Whenever I talk to him about my feelings I just get more upset. I think it really hurts his ego that I am basically telling him he's not fulfilling my needs.

Hi, I have had 2 unsuccessful IUIs in the last 3 months, I skipped last cycle bcos I was travelling. I am scheduled to have another IUI this month (today is the 10th day and I will have my scan to check for eggs/follicles on the 12th day).

1. Will the break of one cycle affect my chances?
2. I read that cough drops are beneficial to conception, how true is this, has anyone tried it? If yes, then what is the best cough drop that I can buy in India?
