Assuming your goldfoish are still alive a few hours later and showing no significant stress then no, the salt didn't kill the bacteria. As copperhead pointed, the bacteria can stand far more salt than the goldfish can stand over the course of a few hours. That is to say, if you added enough salt to kill the bacteria, the goldfish would be dead within a few hours.

What type of salt and how much? If this was table salt, aquarium salt, canning, pickling, rock, or sea salt, and in doses up to a a tablespoon per every 5 gallons (what's recommended for freshwater fish) this won't affect the bacteria at all. In fact, the bacteria can tolerate much higher salt levels than your goldfish would like. Epsom salts up to 1/8 teaspoon per 5 gallons is okay, but this should only be added if you're treating the fish for dropsy.

If the salt was something else, please specify what (use the pencil icon under your question to "add details").

it would depend on how much you used. if you are using it at over 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons yes it will kill off bacteria both good and bad.
