i agree with hetlestketler_25. all people watching nba surrounding me hate bruce bowen. why? he plays in a dirty way. watch the you tube video on bowen trying to kick stoudemire's achilles. and also watch his video how he kneed nash. many people also hate manu. people surrounding me rate the san antonio spurs as the dirtiest team in the nba.

I was going to say "I can't speak for others", but then I saw the other answers claiming that Bruce Bowen is widely hated.
I personally hate Carmelo Anthony more than any player not named Kobe Bryant, but I can understand the hate others have for Bowen because I have some hatred toward him as well. It's just not as much as I have toward Anthony.

Well i think among players, bruce bowen seems to bring out the most hate. Ray Allen who is definately not a temperamental player repeatedly told bowen "**** you" when they played eachother in the playoffs a couple year ago. think about how many players talk about him being a cheapshotting bia. i don't know how you could not dislike him when you see him doing stuff like kneeing nash in the balls, tripping vince carter after one of vc's shots in the same way which carter was injured before. great defenders should not have to play cheaply! for example duncan and kobe

I think Bruce Bowen has separated himself recently as a hated player with all the incidents in the playoffs like stepping under people's feet or subtle hits. He has always done stuff like that but recently it has come to the media's attention as superstars started complaining.
