My wife and I are getting a divorce. We're selling our house and hope to make a lil over 60K in profit. Of course we're going to split everything 50/50.

My wife plans on using her half as a down payment on a house. I plan on using my half to pay off my bills. I have about $24k in bills (yikes).

Is there anything I can do to avoid paying taxes on my share? I know I can use it towards my house and avoid getting taxed but then I'm stuck w/ my huge credit card balance. I'm trying to wipe my slate clean.

Am I screwed?

i could never decide "yes" or "no" or abortion in regards to rape, but think about it. do you want that child to be born? do you want that child to have the same genes of a rapist? can you imagine once the child grows up and looks the mother in the eye and the child looks EXACTLY like the man that raped her? many people say put it up for adoption, but there are millions of kids who are put up for adoption and never adopted.......they are forced to live in horrible foster homes and orphanages........do you think the women can go to the pain of rape, much less abortion, much less delivering the child in the same area she was raped nine months before? (and that "area" might still bear physical pain from the rape)

and the most horrible part of all, what happens if the child finds out he is the product of the rapist? he would in utter fustration kill himself, or other people, or even may rape another women in total despair.........

i am not saying yes or no, i want to know your views

I can tell you what wasn't the best part for them. I ran into a group of Libs who were burning an American flag. One dirty looking Lib, wearing an old Clinton-Gore t-shirt, walked near me and, although I'm only 5'6, 117, I slapped the taste out of his mouth. When the police saw what happened, they came over, and I simply said that I had "fear and apprehension for my physical safety" because the Lib was coming toward me. Guess what happened? The police said it was self-defense on my part and arrested/charged the Lib with assault against me.

NOW, THAT'S AMERICA--right?

If you answer "he has always been here" why is it so hard to believe that everything he supposedly created has always been here. A god would be much more complicated than say a big bang. In 2003 I got a speeding ticket and failed to pay it. I am now re-located back to the state in which I got it and am needing to find out how to get it taken care of, but I was told after 3 years your record is wiped totally clean. Can someone help me out with this? I've tried contacting my local DPS office only to get tons of busy signals. Thanks!

I'm 5'1 and 103 lbs. I know I'm not FAT, but my thighs are nowhere near slim. My calves, however, are tiny, making me look out of proportion. My arms are jiggly too. I have a small waist though, 24inches.

I started out at 112 lbs a couple months ago. I joined a gym, and do cardio workouts about 3-4 times a week for about 30 minutes at a time. I've been watching my calorie intake. I've been eating about 1000-1100 a day.

But I need to lose more weight for my trip to Florida on July 2nd. I want to look good in a bathing suit, and that's hard to do with monsterous thighs.

Is it possible to be around 95 lbs by July 2nd?
