Seriously. For example, a lot of Christian creationists will go on about how everything in the Bible is literal (despite much of it being metaphorical and even self-described as parables) yet when it comes to Jesus and believing they will go into excessively non-literal mode and describe how you "need to open/soften your heart to let Jesus in".

So should this actually be taken literally (actually cleave open my heart) or does it mean something else. Why don't they just say "believe in Jesus"? That's surely what it means right?

A hat-seller who was passing by a forest decided to take a nap under one of the trees, so he left his whole basket of hats by the side. A few hours later, he woke up and realized that all his hats were gone.

He looked up and to his surprise, the tree was full of monkeys and they had taken all his hats. The hat-seller sits down and thinks of how he can get the hats down.

While thinking he started to scratch his head. The next moment, the monkeys were doing the same. Next, he took down his own hat, the monkeys did exactly the same. An idea came to him, he took his hat and threw it on the floor and the monkeys did that too. So he finally managed to get all his hats back.

Fifty years later, his grandson, also became a hat-seller and had heard this monkey story from his grandfather. One day, just like his grandfather, he passed by the same forest. It was very hot, and he took a nap under the same tree and left the hats on the floor.

He woke up and realized that all his hats were taken by the monkeys on the tree. He remembered his grand father's words, started scratching his head and the monkeys followed. He took down his hat and fanned himself and again the monkeys followed. Now, very convinced of his grandfather's idea. He threw his hat on the floor but to his surprise, the monkeys still held on to all the hats. Then one monkey climbed down the tree, grabbed the hat on the floor, gave him a slap and said ........................

I often dream of dogs and I dont like the experience, when they are not biting me, they are chasing or trailing me. last night a jet black dog was trailing me I tried to chase it away but it wouldnt go what on earth is going on here? am i possessed or what?

i got my period yesterday, and usually my stomach cramps are really horrible but i manage to deal with it with some pain killers. But this month it's different, i have been up litterally all night ( i havn't slept at all) with terrible cramps, i have been throwing up and i have fainted a few time becase of it. I'm only 15! What is wrong with me? I'm in such pain and it's driving me insane. I've been ill with the flu since friday do you think that might have something to do with it? any advise thankyou so much! Alright, since I am not of legal age of consent to possess and sign a contract to have my own credit/debit card my parent/.guardian can sign a paper at the bank so I can get my own debit in their name, but it's mine to go and buy something on the internet or something.

But theres an issue I'm wondering, since it will be in my fathers name does his credit score pile onto me so, lets say I go and buy something off the internet and its $15 a month(World of warcraft), I can't do it cause of his credit. Is this true? Or am I on a clean slate so if I put $15 from my paycheck every two weeks thats $30 a month which will build up meaning I am consistant on my bill?

Hi, I have just found a spider in my front room, not one I have ever seen before, it's a pale green with a brown stripe down both sides' of its' body & a dark green stripe down both sides of its' head. Its' 2 front legs are twice as long as it's back 2 legs & it's about 2cm from head to end & has a big round abdomen it also looks as if it has pinchers or fangs. Can anyone identify this spider & whether it's harmless? I live in the UK. I have looked on the internet for spiders but I can't find anything on this one.

In the first painting, there is a main dressed in a suit facing the bar, and I believe he is smoking a cigar. He is dressed in black, and the bar looks quite classy. In the second painting, which goes with the first, there is a woman standing at the same bar dressed elegantly. I believe she is holding a martini in her hand. There are two different ways to arrange the paintings. Since the man is looking right, and the woman looking left, you can align the paintings so they are facing each other. Or, you can align the paintings so that they are facing away from each other, giving the paintings different meanings. Does anyone know the title of these works of art, or perhaps the artist who created them?
