We had an icecream van down our street for the first time since i have lived here (just over 4 years) Are they becoming a thing of the past or are they just avoiding my area?(P.S. I don't live in a rough area).

I'm a singer/actress and I really want/need a talent agent. I also love doing theatre so if the talent agent that you know of does that too that would be good. I would like to get myself out there so I can perfom in more places. If you know of anywhere please tell me.

gets too complicated. She lives in Jordan, is a palestinian and will run from her family and Islam to be with me. We love each other but I am getting nervous about her family and her dropping Islam.

Should I dump her or try to make this work? I just do not want her in three years to start missing her family and Islam. I wish she could have a normal relationship with her family after this but I do not think her family will have her after this.

Confused in Seattle.

What were your parents views on "Religion" ... Did your parents belief in God, yes no? If so, what religious affiliation, if not were they Atheists , Agnostics, Wiccan, Pagan? Thanks for any answers in advance.

The size ranges from sand grain size to very tiny pebble. Say pin head to small nail head size. Bigger than a salt grain, coarse sand size about. They don't cover the bottom, there are maybe 20 or so in there at any given time. They are heavy, the syphon won't pull them out very well. I have only glass and hard black river rock with a mostly bare bottomed tank, that's why they are so noticable. Fish pick them up and spit them back out, so they aren't edible.

I have light mounting brackets that have rusted out and all the torx bolts rusted out as well. I have new light mounting brackets and have removed the rusted bolts, but cannot find new bolts made for the Jeep.

i applied to williams college this year and got rejected. im an international student and have really good test scores, extra curriculars, recs and essays and i know i can really flourish there. however i didnt get in - probaby because i had a low gpa as the first two years of high school i really didnt care..
anyway i got rejected, but i wanted to know if there was some sort of appeal procedure to get the admissions to reconsider my case. i know i have what it takes to make it there.
informative answers only please. i am really planning on doing somthing about this.

Ok, everyone is asking about where Junebug is going, what I haven't seen asked is who's going to drive for DEI? I feel sorry for whoever it is, I'm sure they will not be welcomed if the jump into the 8 car. And if Jr. take Truex with them, that would really leave DEI in a pickle for sure. I just don't see much talent out there to choose from.

BTW, I think Teresa really screwed up and DEI is on the way down..... can you imagine how much money they will lose by jr. leaving? ouch... :-)

I've noticed that a common thread among thought-provoking questions is a answerer who invaribly insists, "You're just angry with (my god / my religion) and I pray that you'll (get over it / get a life / realize I'm right)."

Is it really so wrong to be angry with certain religions, or at least with certain interpretations of those religions? I'm angry with fundie Muslims who want to fly planes into buildings, I'm angry with fundie Christians who think that God shouldn't cure kids with cancer because dying kids are "inspiring". I'm also angry with atheists who think whatever terrible things fundie atheists think (I'm drawing a blank, but there's surely some nut jobs out there somewhere).

Is it wrong to be angry in the face of injustice, hypocrisy, and the other bad things that can often be found in religion?

I've been to two interviews last week and I thought I did very well in both of them. They both said to me that they will let me know by next week if I got the job. Why do employer's make you wait for a week, why don't they just pick a day and if you don't hear from them on that day then you obviously didn't get it. I can't stand the waiting. I don't think it's very professional to make a potential employer wait a week or two to see if they got the job. Does anyone else agree?

I just got my first bike (Honda VFR750), it's been very well maintained, but some oxidation on the chain is causing it to tick every time it goes by the sprocket. I'm very handy and do all my own work on my cars and I'm going to replace the chain next weekend, but I haven't ever done anything on a bike. Based on the repair manual it doesn't look too hard to do, how hard will it be? Where should I order the chain from (Website or store) and how much should I expect to pay? Do I need anything other than the cutter, chain, lube, and tools?
