They've got some good developmental drivers but they are a few years out. You're right Jr.=lots of money wether hes winning races or not, however she is not a stupid woman(though it looks that way) she has a back-up plan I'm sure. Its just sad they the two of them couldn't have worked it out together. Too bad Sr. isn't still around, this wouldn't be happening.

I think Teresa DID make a mistake letting Jr. go. DEI was built for Dale's children, not for her. It was a good move on Jr's part to leave. He wasn't happy, hasn't been for a long time and it showed in his racing. Since he made the announcement that he would be leaving DEI at the end of the season, he has been driving a lot better!! He stayed up in the top 10 for most of the race yesterday... even got up there into second for a while. He'll make a good decision on where to go or what to do before the next season starts. As for "who's going to drive for DEI?"... nobody knows. Truex may or may not stay. Menard is very likely to since he's a rookie. I don't think Michael Waltrip will go back. Even though he's having a rough season out on his own... it's not really an option. She may just bring in another rookie from Busch or maybe she'll find a veteran driver who's not happy with his current team. She does have Kerry's son under contract, but he's quite young and won't be driving NASCAR for awhile yet. We'll all just have to sit back, enjoy the rest of the season and wait for his announcement. GO JR!!!

Teresa did what she thought was best for the company of which she owns 100%. As far as DEI being on the way out because of Jr's departure..NO WAY!!! They still have Truex who is a great talent, Paul Menard is not as good as others but he is coming along. If they can snag a Biffle or another top driver they will be fine. They have a great developement program including another Earnhardt that is in the stable now. Jr. wanted to branch out and move away from his dads shadow and be his own man. I think this was the best move for both.

As I relatively have pronounced until now, i'm a Jr fan. Dale it relatively is. He would desire to be obtainable in a Honda, (which considering Toyota is in only isn't long) and that i'd nevertheless pull for Dale. the actuality that he's with HMS is, for my area as reliable a flow as Jeff G made years in the past. Sink or swim, DEI will land the place ever it lands, I wish it no harm nor the owner. in step with possibility if Dale father have been nevertheless alive issues would be differant. he's long previous now and he or she has to look out for herself. And DEI. attempt to bear in mind that she replaced into Dale's spouse and stood via his part, only speculating right here yet in step with possibility it relatively is only too painful for her to spend too plenty time on the tracks or up front interior the limelight of DEI. i'd wish that maximum Dale followers. Of the daddy or the son proceed to be dependable to there driving force and not what automobile he drives or for who. how many Stewert followers will leap deliver only because of the fact he would be in a toyota next 300 and sixty 5 days? Oh, wait, actual followers do no longer leap deliver....

Don't call him "Junebug". Just because Mr. B-B-B does, doesn't make it a real nickname. I can't stand that, and I am not even a Jr fan. DEI will probably go throught a few rough years and then be sold, in pieces, to other teams.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Greg Biffle driving for DEI next year. He is not happy at Roush and I think it would be a good move for Teresa because he is as good if not a better driver than Dale Jr. I think he would improve their team. They should move Truex Jr to the 8 car, since Jr's fans wouldn't mind that too much, and let Greg drive the 1 car.

I would hope Truex Jr. can get out of there after this season and get into a ride with Dale Jr.'s "new" team. Harvick called Teresa an absentee team owner and it really seems as if her management style is not too popular with drivers.
I wonder if this dates back to people taking "sides" in Sr.'s divorce and marriage to Teresa - the way Junior Johnson's divorce seemingly had drivers choosing sides - because she was credited with having biz savvy in opening new financial venues for DEI to tap into when her husband was alive.
DEI is going to be picking up drivers on the rebound - bounced out of Cup and in the Busch/truck or young drivers who may have $$$ for the seat, like Paul Menard's ride.
I wonder if Buckshot Jones is available?!

I think Truex will leave considering he already threatened to leave b4 lat year. They will pick up some young driver just outta the Busch series and a Nextel washup, like a Biffle. I think this will turn into a circus and will start to slowly decline until someday they will be forced to sell it. It see Jr. going off and winning couple of championships and getting older ready to retire and teresa will have to sell it, Jr. will buy it and turn it into a 5 star team again. Then we will see Jr.'s true calling running a race team, his dad was very underrated in his off track business endeavors such as creating such a strong team like DEI.

Dale Earnhardt's legacy is his four children, not Teresa. His life will go on in them. What ever happens to DEI is going to happen to DEI. His children have lives of their own to live and I hope that they do just that. As said Dale Jr. (Junebug) is going to be his own man, just as any father would hope. I believe Sr. loved and was proud of all of his children. Fathers are like that.
