Is it as prestigious as Medicine, Engineering?
Whenever I tell people about my major, they look down upon me. It doesn't impress them much. I know I shouldn't care much, but it hurts my esteem.

we moved into a small village from a town & the best school in village is a small catholic run school.
I am not bothered but my husband is not happy (we follow no religion) as our daughter has started coming home from school saying prayers & singing hyms.
I don't mind as i have looked up the religion & prayers on net & as far as i can see it's all about being kind & offering jesus your problems as god will help you.
how comfortable would you feel ? Am i doing the right thing ? the classes are really small & the school is disaplined & i like the school as does our daughter but i do think i should think about the religion & participate for my daughters sake but hubby, as i said feels uncomfortable.

I have thought up a product which is fairly easy to manufacture and has a pretty good shot at steady sales. I'm not after "great wealth," and I am not an engineer or a manufacturer [I'm a college professor of ancient history] and would prefer to sell the whole package outright. I know what I would like to get, but I have no idea if it is a fair price or not.

I have a friend who is the sweetest person alive as well as wickedly funny, but it seems like no one else wants to give her a chance. She's Mormon and very personally pious, and doesn't tolerate things like swearing or violence very well. People always ask me why we're friends since I'm an atheist and swear like a trucker and I keep telling them that it's because she's really cool and funny and it's nice to be around someone who is just nice. I also feel like she gets hassled a lot. What can I do? She is one of the greatest people I've ever met, and I'd like other people to realize it.
