they should trade one of them for a veteran because they keep getting younger and they need a vet to help out not 2 picks, maybe even trade for bibby, or a good pg vet, actually portland is trying to get that pick from them because they want mike conley along with oden

Conley even though Acie was my favorite player but you cant go wrong with the raw speed and passing ability. And since conley will probably be the better pro there no sense but to draft him third considering the hawks have young potentially great big men. If they get an offer for a trade do it and then go after acie. If not Conley is good for the hawks
Here what scout said of Conley : "When it's all said and done -- after the workouts are finished -- I think Conley could go as high as number 4 or 5. He's the real deal."
Acie's Profile
#14
Acie Law
Ht/Wt: 6-3/185 lbs
Position:PG
Drafted From:Texas A&M
2007 Draft Profile:
A scoring point guard with an excellent basketball IQ, who has improved in just about every facet of his game. He has great size and strength for the position, a good floor general that puts his teammates in a position to score and keeps turnovers to a minimum. His biggest asset is that he's fearless and not afraid to take clutch shots at the end of the game. A good slasher to the basket, with an excellent mid range jump shot and has improved from three point range this year. Defensively shows good lateral quickness and reflexes to play in the passing lanes. Needs to improve his decision making, leadership skills, dictating tempo and learning the nuances of the PG position.
Conley's Profile
#3*
Mike Conley
Ht/Wt: 6-0/170 lbs
Position:PG
Drafted From:Ohio State
2007 Draft Profile:
Possess a high basketball IQ and is an emotional and intense competitor that allows him to out play the more gifted athletes he is matched up against. He shows some decent post and face up moves around the basket. He needs to improve his shooting and foot speed if he expects to make the jump to the next level. Does not possess a good jump shot or the quickness to blow by defenders off the bounce.

The Hawks have the 3rd pick, and Indiana's 11 pick.
With that said Conley isn't good enough to use a 3 pick on. With the 3 the Hawks can get Wright or Jianlian, heck maybe even Horford. If they take Conley with the third pick, it will be to trade him to the Blazers. CONLEY will NOT be a Hawk next year.
ACIE LAW IV is the best Guard in the draft.
Law is better than Conley. Law has experience, he has proven himself. He can be an immediate leader for them. Conley is 1 year out of high school, Atlanta is already a young team. They need Law. He is like Jameer Nelson, but with more height. Hi isn't afraid to fight for a loose ball. Law is clutch, he's got range, and plays D. I would take him at 3, but he "should" be there at 11.

They should pick Conley based on potential and skill. Acie Law is good but doesn't have the upside like Conley. However the 3rd pick is too high to pick Conley and the 11th pick is too low to pick Conley. The smart choice would be to take Brandon Wright with the 3rd and Law with the 11th (or Conley if he is there). However they could end up taking Gabe Pruitt in the early second round as well. Just another option.

Let's explore Atlanta's options on both sides of their picks. They have too many swing men so they need a PG and a big men to address their post presence need.
If they address their PG needs and take Mike Conley Jr. with the 3rd pick, which big men would be available at number 11?
Joakim Noah
Spencer Hawes
Tiago Splitters
Julian Wright
Jeff Green
Wright and Green are more of a versatile forward that doesn't really play inside. Hawes and Splitters are more rebounders without a true post games. Joakim Noah is the only one on the list with a decent inside game but I highly doubt he will drop all the way down to the 11th pick.
If they addressed their big men needs and take a non-PG with the 3rd pick, they most definitely would have to pick a PG with the 11th pick so what PG would be available?
Acie Law
Taureen Green
Acie Law is not the distributor or penetrator that Mike Connely Jr. is but he can offer a little bit of everything from outside shooting to driving inside and finding the open man kind of like a young Chauncey Billups. Taureen Green has the ability to break down the defense and find the open man but he does little on defense.
Conclusion:
If the Hawks pass on Mike Connely Jr., they can still take the 2nd or 3rd best PG in the draft. If they take Mike with the 3rd pick, they will be stuck with a bunch of questionable big men (unless Noah drops to them) with no inside post game.
You make the call on what is their best option.....

Pick Conley with the 3rd pick, and trade him to the Blazers for Zach Randolph...Then pick Acie Law with the 11th pick....Then they will have a pg and a Lowpost scorer, two must needs for the hawks.

i might take one million.GREG ODEN 2. KEVIN DURANT 3. MIKE CONLEY 4. ACIE regulation the reason i might take greg first is via the fact those style of massive adult men shielding gamers come often times whilst a scorer comes each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days
