Personally I'm very glad to see her go. What do you think happened?

Rosie asked to leave the show early. Because she has agreed to be on the show as a guest host in the upcoming year. ABC thought it was best to let her out of this contract. They still have her for upcoming shows. I would think they will want to wait for Elisabeth to go on maternity leave, before having her guest co-host.

I think some of you must have missed that show. Elisabeth was giving as much as she was getting. I wouldn't be surprised if ABC lets her go.

I find it quite hard to believe that Rosie asked to leave the show. She likes to pick fights and cause chaos. ABC probably realized their mistake by putting her the show to begin with and asked her to leave. She was just getting into it with everyone, insulting the Views guest and her co-workers. I have never been too much of a Rosie fan, but after her whole stint on the View, I like her even less now. I wouldn't be surprised if Donald Trump made this happen some kinda way.

She quit, she ran away because she thinks that nobody has the right to an opinion except her. I'm a liberal and I don't even like her, she hurts us more than she helps us. She sounds like such a jealous, bitter woman who should be sitting at home yelling at her TV. She likes to sit there and insult other people and when someone stands up to her she doesn't like it. She's so dominating and now she's running away because she had to deal with someone who won't bow down under her loud, forceful manners.

I agree with NYKool. I suspect that ABC did or was going to ask her to leave because she scared them. She is a loose cannon and in the three weeks left on her contract she could have said many things which would have put them in a position to be sued. When Star Jones "left" they said they were going to let her go but they would have agreed to let her say publicly she was leaving on her own in order for her to save face. I think that's probably what they did with Rosie. She called herself a fat, loud mouth lesbian and I think that about says it all. Hopefully we have seen the last of her for a while anyway. I used to be a fan of hers but I find she really is disgusting in my opinion. When she outed Clay Aiken on national t.v. pretending to be standing up for him, that did it for me. She should mind her own business and keep her opinions to herself.

I think she finally said I have had enough and walked. Why would you be glad to see her leave, she only speaks the truth as she see it. The real problem is that NO ONE IN AMERICA SEEMS TO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS WAR! Rosie has been defending the troops and asking why are we they still there? I feel sorry for her. I think it took a lot of guts to speak up and say some of the things she said. Her voice will be missed. No one else seems to keep this administration in check. Rosie also put her money where her mouth is, who do you think just build that new rehab hosp. in San Antonio. Trust me it wasn't our government and it sure as heck was not the Fox network. Part of the money to build that place was Rosie's. Oh but we forget to talk about that. get informed or shut up!

I think that she felt embarrassed by the whole episode between her and Elisabeth.. and she didn't want to sit there for three more weeks pretending to 'be nice' ... just waiting to leave, so she asked to leave early. I seriously doubt she was fired, she was a ratings boost for 'The View'.

ABC said she asked to exit her contract immediately and they obliged. Then she ran off like a coward and hid. As well she should.
The only regret I have about her leaving is that she didn't take Joy with her.
(sendittojeff can shut the he!! up too)

It would be my guess that it was a mutual agreement between Rosie and ABC for her to leave early.
