I have a Bank of America VISA debit card (check card) and I gave out the numbers to a company I have since come to believe is a fraud. Is there any way for me to prevent FUTURE charges from this company (i.e., to prevent them, specifically, from grabbing more money from my account)? I was suckered but I don’t want it to get worse.

Awful title, no?

Anyway, democrats have you ever voted republican and republicans have you ever voted democrat? Also, do you ever vote independent?

While i am not a registered democrat or even a huge fan of the dems, i do vote for them most often. However, i have voted republican and independent on some rare occasions. All for local or state positions. All dem on the national level.

I often hear people say that the troops in Iraq are "protecting our rights and freedoms" and "fighting for our way of life" etc etc..

How is that?

While I agree that going after Osama Bin Laden would have of course protected America... How does Invading Iraq do that? In fact, there are countries that have a MUCH bigger chance of trying to attack the USA (such as North Korea) than Iraq did. Yes, I agree that Sadaam needed to be ousted in some way (for the sake of the Iraqi people).. But that in no way corresponds with the American way of life, etc.

I am not condemning the soldiers themselves. They are doing what they are told of course. They surely joined the armed forces to protect the country, etc..

I have no issue with the USA becoming involved with things when it makes sense (such as helping Kuwait), etc.. But I take issue with saying all the reasons that don't make sense, etc..

I'm just curious how people view all this. And no need to be rude, I am just curious.

My brother received a one-page brochure for a "Camp Quest", basically a summer camp for atheists and "freethinkers" in his elementary school. A few weeks earlier, we got two others like this, one promoting a Christian church, and the other one some sort of Wiccan organization.

Is this legal as long as all fliers are accepted, or is it illegal b/c it ties in religion with government too much (like letting teachers lead prayers of their religion) ?

I'm kinda glad that Christians can't logically prove that God is there. That is what FAITH is about. You have to believe and have faith.

I'm also glad that evolution cannot be proved (or some would say comlpeted).

Maybe it sounds weird that i'm glad God cannot be proved logically to us, but I feel that the fact that we can't prove either side will test personal faith.

I dont always get a stuffy nose when I first drink a beer but it does happend often. My fingers will sometimes swell up quite a bit as well (although this does not happen as often and usually happens later).Could this be an allergic reaction? It really dosent ever happen when I drink a mixed drink.

If we joined a rewards program and stuck to a hotel chain to be loyal with, which should it be? One with many destinations, and the rooms and facilities at most should be nice. Starwood is probably our first choice, because Westins, Sheratons, St. Regis, and W are nice. Marriott is updating with plush bedding and high-tech rooms, and they are partners with Ritz Carlton. Hiltons are nice. And Hyatt is also comfy. As far as comfort (how plush the rooms and beds are), facilities, and destinations, which one or two (for backup) would you choose?

We have 4 girls staying at the Flamingo in July... Do you think if we only had two room keys (only 'reported' 2) all 4 of us could still get into the pool if we brought our own towels?

Do they really check your key?
