If we joined a rewards program and stuck to a hotel chain to be loyal with, which should it be? One with many destinations, and the rooms and facilities at most should be nice. Starwood is probably our first choice, because Westins, Sheratons, St. Regis, and W are nice. Marriott is updating with plush bedding and high-tech rooms, and they are partners with Ritz Carlton. Hiltons are nice. And Hyatt is also comfy. As far as comfort (how plush the rooms and beds are), facilities, and destinations, which one or two (for backup) would you choose?

My favorite has always been Marriott.

Although they are not as high-end as some, the consistent high quality service, knowledgeable employees, and judicious selection of amenities has made it the most comfortable place to go.

I worked in consulting for over 20 years. When I had to be in six cities in five days, or stay in a hotel for months on end, the only place I could be totally comfortable was at a Marriott property.

On top of that, the rewards program is outstanding. It doesn't take a lot of time or stays to rack up lots of Marriott points, and they are useful in a number of ways.

If I had to go back to life on the road, I'd get out my Marriott affinity card and go for it!

I would say Hilton. For many reason, They offer clean, comfortable surroundings and if your not satisfield you dont have to pay for your stay no matter what! I really like Hampton's cloud nine bedding and the hot items they've added to the bar. alot cheaper than most hotels around with consistancy.

I like the larger hotel chains. They are more likely to be in the cities i visit world wide. Sheraton is my favorite, followed by the Hilton.

Personally, I don't like Hilton. They used to be great. But, recently I have been way less than impressed. I love Marriot.

If you are referring to US hotels, the Country Inn and Suites by Carlson is my preferred hotel. Inexpensive, very nice comfy rooms, pool, weight room, great breakfast and very friendly. I've stayed at my of their locations from Michigan to Florida and they've all been terrific.
