anything from a fish tank that cost $10 to a fancy cage with tunnels and such which cost $60+

IMO, the hardest parts for cleaning are the tunnels. I hate assembling and connecting the tubes. It's all so fricking hard. Wish the manufacturers will come out with better designs.

if u r going 4 the cheapest model, usually around 20 bucks (thats the lowest i've seen) but if u want a cage that can have those habitrail/tunnel things, then it can cost ne where from 25 to 45 dollars. they r fairly easy 2 clean (as long as the hamster doesnt have wet tail).
just make sure that u have a nice, small hide-away area thing where ur hamster(s) can hide away in during the day.
also, make sure that u have a big wood shaving bag
and i clean (or try to) my hamster's cage around every other day or two
some ppl suggest cleaning it every week, but if u r gonna wait a week or more, the cage is gonna b gross and hard 2 clean.

The cages run between $15 and $50 depending on how fancy you want to get. You can get a glass aquarium with a screened lid or a plastic and wire cage with tunnels and tubes that inter-connect and you can build on to it. Its not hard to clean the cages as long as you clean it at least once a week. They will stink if you don't clean them enough. A little warning though.....the hardest part of cleaning the cage is trying not to get bit, I bought a little exercise ball for my daughters hamster so that it can be contained and I can continue to have ten fingers...lol.

Hope this helps

the bigger the cage, the happier the hamster. Mine has a huge 3 stoey wire cage, with plastic bottoms, and tubes to each level. Its very roomy, well ventilated and keeps him really happy and healthy. Each level cost £20, so £60 in total.

Cleaning a hamster cage is no fun though!! It can take me up to an hour and has to be done thouroughly as hamsters can pick up infections and diseases very easily if you have not done your job properly. This needs to be done weekly. All the effort is rewarding when you look in your hamsters eyes and see how happy and healthy you have made them.

They have them at Walmart for pretty cheap. They are easy to clean- the fourth and fifth graders do it at school without assistance.
