I was at a lecture recently where a (board-certified) dermatologist spoke about skin cancer and ways to help prevent it and treatments and such, and she did touch on skin rejuvenation. I was really surprised when she said that topical vitamin c is 'not stable' so that no one really knows for sure if it makes a difference on the face as there are so many claims about it. She said that the retinoids are supposed to be much more effective such as retin-a. Anyone else hear about topical vitamin c? I found it to be very interesting, and I was really glad that I attended the talk :) Thanks!

I have a 98 4 cyliner automatic Toyota Camry. When I'm coming to a red light, and when i'm braking, the car begins to shake, and the shake doesn't stop even when the car is stopped. However
if i switch the transmission from drive to neutral, the car stops shaking. If I switch back to Drive or reverse, it car starts to shake again. What could be wrong?

My uncle manages my dad's pension money in the UK and wires me the money for his expenses (my dad is severly disabled). I deposit this money in my mom's account in Costa Rica (that's where they retired) and since she takes care of my dad. The reason for this is everybody involved is terrible with wire transfers and any change causes major trauma, lost money and a few months delay to get the money straight. I always end up having to pay my parents' expenses for a while when this happens (don't always get paid back), so I just set it up so I can handle it to make it easier. My question is, is this money considered taxable income for me since I'm in the US?

and jumped in the conversation and said I have that, just to see what they say?

It's so great. I did it the other day at the bar. These guys were talking **** about this guy who had hepatitis, I didn't know him, but I jumped in the convo and was like hey man I have hepatitis, and I don't think that's very funny. Then they just sat there for a second, then apologized. Then I said just kidding, and they started laughing and bought me a beer.

The government (NIH) is trying to setup new tech for connecting patients and doctors. I belive that a company that gives doctors the servers, network, and PC tablets (for an affordable monthly fee) to hold their medical records could be combined with regional servers that back-up doctors data and connect them with labs, insurance companies, pharmacy, and the patient.

I would like to lead this effort now, it does not take billions of dollars to "research" a secure EMR system, it can be done now, I just don't have the backing but I have the vision.

The most important component of the network is mining the data (securely and with privacy) and making the database smart enough to correlate symptoms with conditions and medications.

User could be government agencies (CDC, etc.) and local government to ward off everything from an epidemic to, god forbid, some type of biological attack.
