Weight loss happens if your "burning of calories" is more than your intake. So, cut out the soda, cut out the sweets, cut out the Starbucks Coffee. Eat more fresh and raw veggies and fruits and less potatoes and meat. Drink 1% milk. Eat less cheese and other dairy products. Stop the fast food or frozen/prepared foods.

For breakfast have one cup of non-sugared cereal with milk, a glass of juice or a half of any fruit. For lunch have a nice tossed salad with lemon juice, vinegar (no oil) or diet dressing and very little of it. For dinner, have a nice veggies, a nice salad (like lunch), a no more meat than the size of a deck of cards.

NO snacks in the morning, afternoon or after dinner. Every time you are hungry between set meal times, drink a very large glass of water. And when you are eating if you are full, STOP. You do not have to clean the plates.

Good luck!

Eat Veggies, grilled skinless chicken breasts, and grilled fish.

Cross training is really a great way to go.

Sunday - Try running a mile then walking a mile. If you can't do the full mile running that is fine. Push as far as you can.

Monday - Run .10 mile sprints 5 times. Cool down between each. Jog/speed walk .5 mile.

Tuesday - Ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. Then do 35 of each.

Sit ups
Crunches
Bicycle Sit ups

Wednesday - Take off and let your body heal.

Thursday - Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.

Friday - Weight Training. Work on your upper boddy and lower body.

Saturday - Take off.

eat a well balanced diet with proper portions. drink lots of water. exercise at least 30 minutes every day. you don't have to join a gym or get any special equipment. get some good walking shoes and take a walk first thing in the morning. use these sites for more tips. I watch what I eat, drink lots of water, and exercise for short periods every chance I get. I do aerobics in the morning to a tape, ride my bike to and from work, and take a short walk at lunch. I eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep my metabolism up.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You can do South Beach diet. My inlaws did it with low/moderate exercise. I am a BIG exercise fan though for muscle conditioning and metabolism boosting. At least do cardio/strength training 2-3 times a wk.Sat sun and a weekday. You can lose 3-4 lbs a wk in phase 1 on South beach. Good luck!
