The trumpet like flowers are only in the Spring and the "horn" part points downward. I've heard these trees nicknamed "elephant ear trees" and also heard this is the wood most commonly used now for piano keys (versus the old fashioned ivory). they are common in Harford county and can grow like 50' tall. What in the dickens are they called?

I just bought several cute gnomes for the front yard and they cost a fortune. Now, I'm afraid some teenage punk is going to steal them in the night. Any suggestions for somehow securing them to the ground? Thanks a lot!

Why do so many Americans want creationism taught in public schools. Do they not believe in the separation of church and state anymore. I am not bashing Christianity I just think religion and science should be kept separate and religion has no place in public schools. And please do not respond to this question with, "But the Bible says creationism is real." So I am curious, why is it so many people support a violation of separation of church and state?

Statistics: http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/03/08/creationism.vs.evolution/

"A CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll found that 68 percent of those surveyed favored teaching creationism along with evolution in public schools; 40 percent favored dropping evolution altogether and teaching children only the biblical version of creation."

Veggies & fruits have tons of vitamins A&C, but when you look at the labels for 100% juices or baby foods that are only pureed veggies or fruits with no other ingredients, they have NO vitamin content. Is this because pasteurization or sterilization destroys them? I know that vitamins (but not minerals) are very unstable compounds that are easily destroyed by light, heat, oxidation, probably even too much noise ;-)

My neighbor came into our yard one day and I let him know his dog has been getting into the trash, amd he told me to keep the trash in then. Is that rediculous or what? The only time our trash is outside is the night before dump day and the morning of. His dogs also go to the bathroom in our yard, and we have children around all the time playing outside. The dogs don't seem to be ugly, but do I have the right to call the dog catcher?

I have a child support hearing in a few weeks, I don't want my daughters biological father to have anything to do with her. His family has been calling me and threatening me. Me and my husband are moving out of the coutrie but not until a few months from now. I know I have to appear in court or else they will put a warrant for my arrest, would it be legal for me to move out of the countrie and sign over my rights to as a US citizen? What do you think the judge will say?

I have completed many projects before such as installing a new bathroom, electrical projects, etc. so I am pretty handy with tools and can follow instructions well. I have never actually worked extensively on vehicle however, so I am just curious what are the most important things to look for and what might need replacing that would make the project not worthwhile.

Why isnt yogort pasturized when buttermilk and sour cream are?

And by that I mean buttermilk and sour cream both use bacterial cultures to sour them, but are pasturized before going to the store. Yet yogort still has live bacterial cultures in it. (All three are pasturized as milk before being proccessed of course though)

Why is it nececary for yogort bacteria to remain alive while buttermilk and sourcream can be killed?

I'm asking this because I only had a little bit of buttermilk left, so I mixed in regular milk and left it on the counter overnight, yet the next day it was still just regualr milk. I inspected the package to discover that it was pasturized.

And sour cream, I think most commercially avalible sour creams are artificially soured, but my question is really more about buttermilk vs yogort. Why one has live bcteria but the other does not.
