I have heard many Protestant Christians on this site say that atheists have no incentive for morality because they do not believe that an almighty God will reward or punish them based on their actions in life.

I've also heard them say that God chooses whether to send someone to heaven or hell based only on whether or not that person believes Jesus is their savior.

Since these Protestant Christians believe that God does not reward or punish them based on their actions in life, should their claims that atheists lack an incentive for morality really be viewed as statements that Protestant Christians lack an incentive for morality?

I have an assignment where I have to explain why the health care system in the U.S. doesn't run as smoothly as it could. I am making the point now in my paper that many Americans, especially minorities and those with low incomes, go without medical care. But I don't want to say they go without any kind of medical care because they do go to the emergency rooms and clinics and stuff. I'm looking for a word that describes what kind of care you get from a primary care physician. Not emergency care, but ___ care. Like you're taking care of yourself before anything goes wrong.

I have two tattoos (a shamrock on my hip and a fleur de lys on my lower back - both cultural tattoos), and I am planning my third tattoo. It is my graduation present to myself. I want an ambigram tattoo of the words "live life" on my lower rib cage (starting at my hip bone, wrapping around almost to my lower back, horizontally). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of something I could put going up my rib cage, so it's not as 'plain'. Thanks :)

I am 14 and i just finished 7th grade. As you see, I'm year late. Next year i supposed to go to 8th but I want to skip to 9th grade.

Academicaly, my GPA is 4.0 and im in SAS(School for Advanced Studies, higher than magnet). I have the highest grades in all classes. 7th grade was so easy to me and i don't think 8th will be any harder.

Like in the beginning of semester, all the do is mostly review so even if I skip i don't think it'll will be much of a problem. I took pre-algebra for 7th grade. I personaly want to take geometry for 9th instead of algebra 1. i speak in 3 languages fluently.

In some ways, 8th grade will be more beneficial than skipping. But i don't know. Im in Leadership (something like student council) and i have a good school reputation. I won't be there in graduation and other stuff but i don't know what is more worth of doing.

Please give me an advice. Thank You

Particularly for those with partners.
Whether you plan your time or are at a loose end with no work crying out for attention, what do you like to do.

I have been having pain in my side for a little over a month now.
Where the pain is sometimes moves, when it first started it was in my lower right side, really close to my hipbone. Now it has moved up more to under my ribcage and it gets more severe after I have eaten. Sometimes it is in my left side as well, also under my ribcage. My white blood cell count is also high. I went to a surgeon who thinks it is most likely my gallbladder. My sonogram came back normal and so I had another test done the other day, I forgot what it's called, but they gave me something to make my gallbladder fill up and then made it contract. I should get the results back in a couple days but does anyone know what exactly this test will tell me and what they might recommend for me? And if it isn't my gallbladder, what else could it be?

I do know that it is not appendicitis, they have checked that several times, and I don't have a UTI or kidney infection or anything, my urine and bloodwork are clean.

There are three rational expressions:

ax^2/[(x - a)(x - b)(x - c)] ------------------------- (1)
bx/[(x - b)(x - c)] ---------------------------- (2)
c/(x - c) -------------------------- (3)

Prove that:
(1) + (2) + (3) + 1 = x^3/[(x - a)(x - b)(x - c)]
