Being a member of a charitable lodge is not, last time I checked, a ticket to hell. It sounds like you're thinking of the star symbol that represents the Order of the Eastern Star (not Masons, not Shriners). It is one of the "adoptive orders" of Freemasonry.

If helping burn victims for free in the Shriner's Hospitals that are by the way, free for children burn victims or helping children with learning disabilities (Scottish Rite) and so on is a way to go to hell, then hell must be good.
Symbols mean many things. A bad symbol for one culture may mean something opposite to another.
A thumbs up sign may be good to Americans,try the same thing let's say in France and see what happens.
Anyway, you may be referring to the Pentagram pointing down which is linked to Satanic cult. Maybe if you have done more research, the star pointed down was adopted by so-called satanist recently its origin was nowhere close to satanic.

Well, they put it on their graves as a sign of the group that they belonged to here on earth. I looked it up a while back actually on another search and this is a small portion of what I found on Wikepidia.com "Freemasonry is a fraternal organization with millions of members.[1] It exists in various forms worldwide, with shared moral and metaphysical ideals and in most of its branches requires a constitutional declaration of belief in a Supreme Being." And I do believe that anyone who doesn't believe in God and believes in some "supreme being" will be going to hell. Worshiping another God or thing is a form of idol worship, and therefore I do believe these people will go to hell. Sounds harsh, I know, but the Bible is the truth, the way, and the light, and it's all in there. So, just because people disagree or don't believe doesn't mean it's not true!

They don't, you hate-monger. If you are going to monger hate, you should at least get your facts straight and stop slandering charitable organizations (like the Shriners, Masons and Eastern Star). My dad is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star & a Mason(or i think that's what he is lol) & they do that to symbalize that they were a member of that society like Jews have the Star of David on their grave, so I'm pretty sure that's what it means.
As for you idiots saying their going to Hell, you just plain stupid. Just because their in the group doesn't mean the worship the devil & dance around a fire naked or something... idiots.

Maybe you should check your facts before you post such idiotic drivel.
Masonic graves usually have the compass and set-square motif on them, when they are marked in a masonic way at all.

Shriner graves sometimes use a five pointed star and crescent, but the star is not "upside down" at all.

Im not sure if they know it or not but that is where any secret society, underground sect or the like will be spending eternity. They are the exact opposite of God and thus are forms of idolotry.
