I have two tattoos (a shamrock on my hip and a fleur de lys on my lower back - both cultural tattoos), and I am planning my third tattoo. It is my graduation present to myself. I want an ambigram tattoo of the words "live life" on my lower rib cage (starting at my hip bone, wrapping around almost to my lower back, horizontally). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of something I could put going up my rib cage, so it's not as 'plain'. Thanks :)

First of all Unless you have a Swastika tattooed on you in an American prison, There isn't any real meaning for Tattoos in prison anymore. Secondly, I'm guessing from the Two Tattoos you have your Irish, why not look into some old Celtic symbols? Some of them are very unique and different :)

Just hope you never end up in prison. The shamrock is the sign for the ayran brotherhood. Those who wear the shamrock unauthorized are targeted.

As for what you're looking for, go see a tattoo artist instead of asking a bunch of yahoos that don't have tats.

wait, that doesn't make sense, are you getting the tattoo on your ribcage or on your hip? because the two bones don't touch in any way.

anyway you could get all kinds of stuff to add a bit of background like vines or flowers or stars.

The only person who can give you an estimate on that is the artist who will be doing it. Go talk with an artist/shop.
