Have spent 6 yrs trying to get kid to bed by 8.30 pm at latest but have no luck..........usually asleep by 11.00 pm but means I don't get to bed usually till just after midnight only to have to be awake 5-6 hours later 'cos she is awake.
So much lost sleep!!!!!!!!!!!

When I asked "Do you stop to smell the roses" I MEANT do you take time to enjoy some of life's pleasures now and then. NOT actualy smell the flowers....Which is one I suppose.... It's an old saying..... nevermind. LOL

Most of my friends have children (babies to around 5 years old) and as our reception is really informal and being held at home we want our friends to feel they can bring the kids if they want to rather than having to fork out for a babysitter. What can we provide to help keep the kids happy? I've thought of things like colouring books and pens, any suggestions from people with kids would be great!!!!

My son and me are trying to figure out what was the name of a TV show that told diffrent stories, one in question was one about an airplane pilot who was traped in a gunners bubble during world war two and the planes landing gear was stucked and he was about to die, so while he was waiting he took out a sketch pad and began to draw a cartoon plane like the one he was on. Then all of a suddend the real plane had the same cartoon wheels appear on them. The rest of the airmen saw this from the inside and landed the plane safely to the ground. as soon as they got the stuck person out, the cartoon wheel disappeared. Also it had a story about a train That was going to go through a little boys house. and he was trying to warn his parents about it but they thought he was making things up, the train did run right through the house, If any one knows what TV show was this please let me know.

hunders of my friends said it is not clever to get the PHD before you go to work, they said it is hard for PHD students to get a job opttunite rather than Bachelor (because the starting saraly is higher than Bachelor, and all the big company don't like to hire one who high degree, but no work experience), is it ture? How I choose? and by the way, which university is good at electrical (I heard Monash), do USA need electrical engineer?

I am a 47 yr old retired firefighter \ medic. all my friends and family want me to play willie or do voice overs and acting. i would love a chance to do that. i auditioned in vegas about 7 yrs ago, but could not make the move. well, i can now. thanks for any info.. if something comes of this, i will make it well worth your time.......thanks

They spend hours attacking other sects...

Shouldn't they focus more on proving themselves right? Or do they just not have enough truth to do that?

for instance...The Mormons and the JW's don't spend their time attacking others... they tell others why they are right. But, baptists and Methodists and even some supposedly "non-denomnational" sects give why everyone else is wrong sermons and sunday school lessons early on.

I applied for a job at a retail store and was called for an interview last Wednesday. They seemed to really like me and spoke to me as if they were going to hire me. They told me all the benefits, the job description, how many hours I should expect, what uniform I would wear...etc etc etc.

They just requested that I provide them with references, which I did. They did indeed contact these references 2 days ago.

So it's been 5 days since the interview and 2 days since they contacted the references.

Do I still have hope of them calling me back for a job offer? Should I stop waiting? Is there something else they could be waiting for? How long should I wait before giving up?
