I have a coralife deep six hydrometer but i have no idea how to use it. Whenever i try to take a reading it gives me a different reading... Should i dip it into the water or take a sample from the top? why the hell does it give me a different reading everytime? Would it be a better idea if i used one of those floating glass hydrometers?

I'm talking about relationships along with various other circumstances. a lot of women that i know have got controlling and like to throw accusations.

I wo think that its because they feel that they have to find a way to not feel guilty and by trying to find fault in the other person, they can accomplish this.

I have many fry in my tank and lately my three older fry are hanging around each other, a lot like they are grouping up like the three older guppies. I thought they started this when they are full grown are they really grouping up or is it just my mind playing tricks on me.

my son is 4yrs old, and am trying to discipline him but with no results. he is very naughty and basically never listens to me and is very naughty at nursary school too. i don't know what to do. i also have a baby that is 4 months, so i thought maybe that's also at fault, he's not jealous and he's very good with the baby but i'm wondering if his behaviour is worse nowadays because of the baby, i give him, my older child, a lot of attention, so i don't know. i also punish him when he's naughty but he's not scared of anything. any help would be useful thank you.

The alkalinity in my in ground pool (25K gallons) is very high. It takes 20 drops in the tester to produce clear test. I've already bought a new tester. My ph is normal. How do I lower the alkalinity without also lowering the PH too much? I have to add acid but won't that also lower th PH too much?

With all the knowledge we now know about tobacco product. That it is for sure a documented KILLER! Than when a smoker lights up, he is committing suicide? Also what we know about second hand smoke! If their is another person who doesn't smoke, breathes the second hand smoke. In turn dies from that act of ignorance. Could that be concidered homacidal? According to the DSM-IV Suicide and Homacide fall into these guidelines. Now knowing this, give me your answer.

I have been married since I was 18. I have been with him since I was 16. We have 2 small children. We have had some really rough times, I have been pushed, he has thrown things at me and his mouth is ridiculous. Last night was my graduation and he was so mean and unsupportive. He did not want to participate because it did not benifit him directly. The class had a party and he would not let me go. He is very controlling, manipulative and jealous. I was raging mad by the time I got home. I left riding for a while just to cool off. He found me and followed me. he rode the back of my car for a while then pulled up beside me and swerved at me. He rode in the oncoming traffics lane for a while and when a car came I slowed down to let him in my lane. He slammed on his brakes in the middle of the road and got out of the truck. I went aroung him and kept going. This type of thing is typical of our relationship. Should I continue to put up with this for my kids? They honestly love their daddy.

I have a 20 gallon tank for my 3 goldfish and a tiny cleaner fish (which I just got about a week or two ago). I've had the goldfish for almost 2 years and they're very healthy. I've tried everything - water changes (full, half, a third water change), gravel cleaning, the anti-cloudy stuff they sell at pet stores, leaving the light off for a while, getting a whole new filter, changing the filter insert more often, cleaning the insert more often. It's not in direct sunlight either. When I first do a full water change the water is crystal clear for a couple days then goes cloudy. I've even waited and not done anything to see if it'd clear up on it's own. I have a salt water tank as well and that water is crystal clear so I really don't think it's the water itself. Is there something else I'm missing?? I can't figure it out.

I am breastfeeding with my second child (7 weeks old) and he is thriving, growing, gaining weight etc., but I have started pumping because I am returning to work and have noticed I get a little more than 4 oz from one breast, but only a little over 2 from the other. I don't have any clogged ducts, nothing is painful, we switch sides to start when nursing... everything seems as it should be, but this is weird. I nursed and pumped with my daughter who is two for more than a year and always had pretty much the same from both sides. I've noticed in the mirror I'm starting to look a little lopsided also. Any ideas why this may be happening or how to increase the one side to "match" the other?
