I'd like if you could share some prayer tips . How do you begin the day with prayer? What is your prayer method throughout the day? Any devotions you particularly like to say on any day of the week? What kind of prayers do you pray throughout the day and at night that keeps you focussed on God? Thanks

Doing the racial breakdown of the College of Cardinals, I find 83% of all Cardinals are of European ancestry, 7% are of African ancestry, 7% are of East Asian ancestry and only 1% are of East Indian ancestry (and are obviously descended from the Brahmin caste).

This would suggest to me that, assuming these numbers match the number of people from each racial group who call Catholicism their faith, that there are -very- few non-Europeans who embrace Catholicism.

The alternative assumption is that the Catholic Church does not believe in matching large numbers of non-European Catholics with large numbers of non-European Cardinals. This would suggest the church is biased against non-white racial groups, a suggestion I am told can't be true.

Assuming you also believe Catholicism is the only true religion worshipping God, then one must conclude that the vast majority of non-Europeans are rejecting God.

How do you explain this?

I asked this question late last night and only got a few responses so I'm hoping to get some more today. I am having big problems with my computer at home and I am ready to chuck it out the window. I have a Dell Dimension Desktop and for some reason I went to go turn it on last night and it looked as if it started up ok but when it got to the part where your desktop icons are visible after a few seconds they just disappear and there's nothing on the monitor but the "Dell" background, even the tackbar is gone. Has this happened to anyone? Thanks so much for any help.
p.s. of course the warranty is up already too!!

The West gave up on spirituality and morality long ago. In fact, the West is the first culture in human history that has become agnostic or outright atheist in both theory and practice. We have completely severed our ties to our spiritual heritage. While still profiting from its Christian legacy, the West is no longer Christian in any sense of the word. Our business and government practices are atheistic. We do not operate from ethical or moral concerns. We are motivated by economic and political opportunity.

Any thoughts ?

Hi, guys!
My situation is like this... I got fired from my job for using internet for my personal things. That is ok I did not have problem with it. Then I wanted to delete 2 personal files from my computer (my resume and a letter) and the boss told me I can not do that because it is their property. The next day my co-worker went and deleted those files. They found out that she did it and asked her to write a report, in the report she wrote that I asked her.
This is a story. The question is: can they do anything else to me for that besides firing? Please help, I am desperate.

There's been an old tradition (at least in my country) - a husband is a 'hunter' who brings prey home (actually money), and a wife is a 'hearth keeper', she raises children and does most housework. Her job usually lets her work not as hard as men and her salary is lower. Although both a wife and a husband combine their incomes which is then spent equally.

I've heard often a husband and a wife in a Western family don't combine their incomes and spend money on their own, is this true?
How do they maintain the balance then? Do they divide housework among them evenly or the wife has to do more work anyway? Maybe the amount of housework has become lower?
Are women's salaries lower than men's ones?

I'm asking about Western countries, but you may also tell about how it's going in others. Thanks for your replies in advance.
