I feel if a person is going to die a horrible death and they can determine a way to exit this world with some dignity then they should be allowed to.

Boy what a tough topic to have picked. Is it right to keep someone suffering in pain and agony just because they can keep on living. I know I wouldn't want to continue to live like that especially if I had only a very limited time anyway. However, others are worried that we might be setting a bad example and start down a slippery slope of euthanasia and who gets to decide about those who aren't competent to decide for themselves.
