Are we in the midst of a movement?

Just finished learning about the Civil Rights movement of the 50's and 60's. It seems like it was a big deal just from reading our history books, but i want to know from someone who remebers this time if it was as publicized a movement as it appears. Is it possible that we are in the midst of another similar movement today with regards to immigration?

Am I the only adult here who enjoys Cartoon Network's.........?

I feel almost perveted because I enjoy them so much. Extremely well written, stellar characters and a nice combination of high and low brow humor.

Much better than the crap from Hanna Barbera I had when growing up in the 70's. Scooby Doo and the Harlem Globetrotters or how about Scrappy Doo? I still convulse when I think about the crap they used to make us watch on Saturday Mornings. HR Pufinstuff needed his a*s*s kicked

8th grader needing algebra help really bad!!!?

Im in 8th grade and im going down the toilet with algebra in math, i am lost with this because my class just started doing it when i was sick, I got my make-up work and i need help, If someone can explain and demonstrate the steps that would be great.

here is some of the following problems...

18+2w = 7w-13

4(2w+5) = 12w-9

7m-2(m-3) = 3m-14

5x-7 = 2x+2

What happened to me? (Health-related question)?

I had quite a long day writing up my assignment for an end-of-year module. I've been awake since 10:30 when I had my breakfast and settled down to work. I hadn't eaten all day until about 15 minutes ago, but I noticed when I stood up, I had a head rush and had to sit back down for a minute. Also, I was trembling. My breakfast was a cup of coffee, (with two spoonfuls of sweetner) with two buttered crumpets.
I want to know what happened, why was I like this? I'm still kind of trembling now; my hands are all shakey.
I'm average height, around 168cm, and my weight is around 70kg.
