A friend of mine has recently decided to leave her employer because of work conditions. We live in North Carolina which is a "right to work" state. All employment is voluntary. However they are requiring her to come in for an exit interview before they will release her final paycheck (which is already week late being delivered). Can the company actually do this? Is there anything she can do?

I had been drinking alot the night before and the next morning I had to potty like you wouldn't believe. So I went upstairs and did my business and guess what - the toilet didn't work. So I just left his house without saying a word. Was that the correct way to handle it?

My radio doesnt work - it happened the day I replaced the alternator at the repair shop..my car has an antenna which goes up and down properly, so I dont think its the fuse...what else could be the cause? I bought an additional faceplate, but still nothing..please help, thanks. My car is a '93 Ford Thunderbird

I am supposed to start a new pack of birth control pills the Sunday after I start my period (which is usually around Tuesdays). I didn't realize until a week ago that I accidentally started a new pack on Friday instead of Sunday. I have never done that before and I have been taking them for 4 years now. Can that really mess me up?

I'm 15 and I think I fit many of the characteristics of AS. I'm not very social, don't really get all that attached to people, and have never had many, if any, close friends. People have said to me "You don't know how to read people!" and I guess they could be right - I don't really interperet facial expressions, miss sarcasm, and do things like talk "too loud" and say things that people consider rude. People also say I'm immature (for example, I have a teddy bear which I CAN NOT sleep without)

I also have ultra-sensitive ears, and I HATE loud noises. When I was younger I used to scream and cry when ever someone was vaccuming. Also, I can't stand the tone of the bell they use in my school... it's like being tortured. I also hate the sensation of drawing with chalk or felt-tip markers, or the sound of people using such things.

I have really strong, obsessive interests which people say are "weird" like brain tumors and Jim Henson.

Do you think I could have AS?

I've been experiancing symptoms of Anxiety/Depression. I went to my MD and she agreed with me. She put me on meds but i had a really bad time on them and she told me to stop, told me I could possibly be bipolar becuase its coming out in late teens (im 18). She referred me to the local mental heath clinic. I was very reluctant to go but was basically forced to by a very close friend, the lady who did the assessment on me ruled out that I was bipolar but was experiancing anxiety with brought on depression. She told me to go back to my MD and get put back on meds, so I did BUT .. it was suppose to have been a joint effect with both my doctor and the clinic keeping an eye on me and the meds. The doctor bothers me but I dont have a problem going to see her but the clinic I'm avoiding their phone calls so i dont have to make an appointment. What should I do ... Can I just stick with my own Doctor ... Should I phone the clinic and say no stop phoning? go for one appointment? ANy Advice
